There's a reason why the phone costs so less. Using poly-carbonate body and Gorilla Glass 3 instead of going for glass body and Gorilla Glass 5. Get a decent screen protector.

Get a decent screen protector.
This is de rigeur with mobile phones IMHO.
I've never had a mobile and not used a screen protector. Accidents happen and it feels like you'd be a fool not to do what you can to mitigate against your screen getting knackered. I've settled on glass screen protectors which have occasionally smashed, saving the actual screen from smashing - seems the obvious way to go

A decent fall always breaks the screen no matter how good the corning gorilla glass is,they mainly provide resistance to scratches ! Better invest in a good case and tempered glass, its all about certain angle and positions,be careful to be safe

Mi A2 have Gorilla Glass 5 but still didnt survive fall according to this video,

Guys, he did drop test after bend test.
So, glass was already loose from body.
So, it's obvious that it's breaks after fall.
Anyway, I just opened mine, it's feels as strong as my OnePlus 3t was.

I have a Nexus 5, so probably the GG is worst than GG3. When GG3 launched people liked it, now its crap? I dont think so, only it has better versions. IMO every phone should use a glass protector and case.

Do you guys think a tempered glass for Mi 8 will somewhat fit Pocophone F1? The size a pretty close +/- 1mm. Notch is obviously different but the point is to find a temporary solution while accessories for Pocophone are available.

Policarbonate is more flexible and resistant than Glass and Aluminium

Yeah, looks cheap and it is but also has another quality over the other 2 materials apart from shock absortion: signal transmissions

I have clumsy fingers, using the included silicon case without screen protector for the past 20 days.
Must have dropped it at least 4 times from 3 to 5 feet and no problems so far.
Although have a couple of barely noticeable scratches on the front screen , so Def need a scratch guard.

Thanks for making me google "de rigeur" .. On other note, I've never used protective glass, and dropped my iPhone 4, 5, and LG G3 (that one fallen from 2m on kitchen tiles) and nothing happened. I do worry about screen edges here being uncovered by plastic.

And a screen protector glass can only protect from mild hits. It's just how mechanics work. You don't have a spring cushion between two layers of glass.

Did you guys see drop test of poco f1 on youtube ? The display shatters very easily, it's a point of concern.
