The version 12.2.1 is a huge mess, it's full of bugs and has a lot of stability issues
I bought this device recently and I was loving it, then I updated
I was also thinking to not flash a custom ROM because Miui 12 is pretty good, but I updated literally for one and only reason, the possibility to hide silenced notifications from status bar introduced with Android 11 and I didn't know Miui doesn't have it, I'm disappointed

Now to rollback I have to request the bootloader unlock, backup, download the old version or switch to .eu version and restore.
Damn Xiaomi what a mess...

As I know, only. EU version using twrp (Chinese version) work without RBP!
But there seems to be other bugs inside. Please investigate about that!

I managed to flash the Andr11 update by using the Pitch Black recovery.
Not flashing it to the device but use to boot with help of the XiaomiADBFASTtool directly into the recovery.
First I removed all fingerprints and login pin/paswords so the data partition was accessible.
Then flashed in the above mentioned way the Andr11 update and that went flawless.
Then had to figured out how to root and with the special debug apk from magisk I was able to install this debug magisk manager and from there I could install via the canary update channel the canary build and then patched the boot.img from the original rom zip to the magisk boot.img and saved it to my pc.
Flashed with the fastboot tool that boot image and done!
Rooted perfectly!!
So far so good

Quiet interesting: some of the bugs seems to be fixed if dev setup option " miui optimization" is set to on!
So I recommend to check it. 😎

! Heads up for MIUI v12.2.3.0 RJKEUXM update !
got the OTA update and tried flashing it over V12.0.3.0.QJKEUXM through TWRP (3.4.2b by wzsx150), forgot to remove the encryption and the Flashing failed in the middle of process, rendering all partitions unmountable! All the data is gone and had to use MiFlash tool to install the ROM again.
To be safe backup you partitions first and follow the post #123.

Hello,

My F2 pro is on 12.0.3 since two months, and this is the only update I have gotten since purchasing in July

Is it normal to have so few updates on a global version or my device has a problem ?

I want to clarify that the device is 100% original, no root, bootloader or kernel mod ..

I do not run after updates but I admit being a little disappointed, my last experience at Xiaomi before this phone was the Mi4c and I remember having had updates every month For at least 2 years

Why flash it with twrp if you can update it normally with the ota?
