AOSP roms will come soon for F2 Pro/K30 Pro, thanks to the release of Mi 10 Ultra kernel source. About K30 Ultra with Mediatek chipset, unless there are engineering firmware used to avoid hardbrick somehow surfaces like with Redmi Note 8 Pro, custom rom development will be hard to take off.

Last info is that Ultra model is only for China market... No Global versions (for now)...
If they say "it will be a global version" a lot would not get a F2 Pro, like with the Mi10 Ultra.
As long as there is a global ROM, I am in for Mediatek.
I have used redmi 10x 5g with mediatek dimensity processor, and it is a killer phone for the price. ($200).
Dev efforts on POCO F2 pro is seems to be dead anyways. so... don't care about AOSP roms.
But, since there will be no global rom, NO. (Chinese rom seriously have so many problems...)

This new MediaTek has nothing to do with the old MediaTek's. The MediaTek from the Redmi Note 8 Pro (I think G90T) is better for gaming than a Exynos 990. This score like a 855+ Snapdragon and support Dual-5G at the same time.
I have redmik 30 ultra, but the 120hz doesnt work in all apps (whatsapp, instagram..) in this apps work in 60hz, Does anyone know how to fix it?
Can you tell us how's the performance of MTK 1000+, did you face any lags? any heating, how do you compare real daily apps with SD 865 if own mobile with that CPU?

Another problem is XIAOMI itself.
If you soft brick your XIAOMI phone with mediatek chip, you are done. You cannot revive it unless you PAY someone to restore it.
Xiaomi blocked users access to soft-bricked phones by their software.
And I hear it is real easy to brick XIAOMIs with Mediatek chips as well.

That's wrong, many games work with 90hz, 120hz don't know, but a lot are working in 90hz already.
I say whatsapp, instagram, twitter... These apps doesnt work in 120hz, the software will be update to 120hz.
Previously I had my galaxi s8 8, op6t, p30 pro, s10 plus and k30 ultra as ultimate, this is what gave me the best efficiency, since I made sure it was a new mobile, the software was not optimized for all applications from 120hz, I can guarantee that the mtk 1000+ is amazing

I also own a Op 7pro and 90hz is noticibly better than 60hz. So 120hz is extremely noticible. Either way it's only noticible if you try to notice it.

These three negatives are the largest turn off for me. Especially the MediaTek CPU. It makes installing roms and updates a nightmare from personal experience.
