I use default settings. But I save RAW, so I don't care about jpeg quality. IMHO, it's ridiculous to search so-called best settings for photos without value, aka snapshots.

Not interested. v4a has more options, it's more customizable (+ lens blur). The only "improvement" I noticed: the newer version use lower ISO for Night Sight mode, so longer exposure times. I still preffer v4a.
