Hello everyone. I've been conducting research about this multi-touch/latency issue about the Pocophone's screen. And this is what I've found. It turns out that most, if not all, people with the "tianma" display has hardware issues with their screen. I want to verify whether this is the case. So if you want to know what display you have, follow my steps.

1. Go to settings.
2. About Phone.
3. Tap the kernel version about 4 times and a new window will pop-up.
4. Then tap "Check version info".
5. Scroll down until you see "LCM Information".

That's where you could see what display your Pocophone has. From what I've seen/heard, all tianma with nt36672a has the multi touch/screen latency issue.

So anyone who either has or does not have the issue, can you please state yours for referrence? I'm sure it could help a lot of people. Thanks!

If you don't mind, can you please do those steps I showed and show what your LCM Information is? I want to know what type of display a fully functioning Pocophone has.

It's noticeable when typing fast that also involves the edges of the screen (letters q, a, etc.) It has a slight delay to it. And also, when playing games, there's a huge inaccuracy to it. It just isn't the same as my previous phone.

Is there a way to check this information without running Miui? I want to check but I'm not running Miui and the method described does not work in my ROM.

I'm currently using the MIUI 10 Global 8.9.13 beta. I'm thinking mine has hardware problems. Because I think MIUI 10 should've already fixed the problem by now if it was a software issue.

I'm using the latest 8.10.25 and it still feels slow sometimes. No change since MIUI9. It's either hardware related or Gboard is slow. Can't comment on gaming or test it with a slow mode camera.

I have the same display without any issues. I can't replicate the problem you describe despite best efforts to catch the screen out when using the keyboard.
PUBG has controls in the periphery of the screen - I can't blame my poor chicken dinner intake on this!

i have the same nt36672a. the problem has been reduced a little with the update, but it's only noticeable on the edges while typing very fast. As far as gaming is concerned, I paly pubg, Fortnite and other heavy titles on almost daily basis, and haven't faced any issues till now. and since I use swipe gesture to type, the little delay on the sides don't bother me much.
( but the digitizer used surely is at fault, and I don't think updates will do anymore good to improve this touch delay)

Hmm, weird. I have same nt36672a but no problem so far. Tested with Touch Sensor in CIT and working fine. I play Mobile Legends without any issue. I am using Google pinyin app for typing both chinese and English but no issue at all.

Miui 9.6.25

Any problem on edges of right and left side ?
Try q, p, backspace from very edge of screen

Do you use "full screen gestures"? 'couse if you do, that is the source of the slight delay (it's to recognize gestures). I turned of that option, to "buttons". The lag on the letters a, q, etc. is not appearing to me...

i dont have any issue with my poco regarding multi touch.

I've got Tianma LCD, too. ROM has nothing to do with it. It's all about the Touch Screen drivers (kernel).

I've got the same issues before (touch lags on the corners or near the edges or sometimes even no touch registration at all).
After flashing Extreme Kernel V8 which is using 9.1.24 version of touch screen drivers - it works great. All problems are gone now.

Also - you should be looking for Tianma panels as these have no issues with bleeding, etc
