Thanks for the ROM. Sorry I did not come back to you before.

I have been trying to make it work and it has taken me quite some time. I have gone through the process of flashing my watch, including to brick it few times, recover it, etc....

At the end I have managed to flash it. The very first thing I have noticed is that my ROM was from Nov 2014 and yours is from August 2014.
There are some differences in the layout of the icons of the pre-installed apps, and some of them are different.

With your ROM I have problems to install Google Play Services and Google Play Store and make it work. The service stops after a few seconds with an error message. I have also tried to make the GPS work withouth success, so my problem is not yet solved by reflashing my watch with your factory ROM.

I have the impression that there is still some persistent configuration in the memory from the old flash that had problems. With your ROM I cannot whipe out completely the memory and make a factory reset. When the watch boots with the POWER and HOME pressed, I get to the menu with two options but when I press POWER it does not go to recovery mode, it reboots and starts normally.

I have the impresion that my initial problem is probably in that part of the memory that is not flashed with your firmware.

Is is possible to pass me the USRDATA, CACHE and RECOVERY binaries?

Has somebody a newer ROM image?

Does anyone know how I can do a factory reset when the watch is not responsive?
Hi,
With the original flash I had (dated October 2014) I did: just wait for the battery to end, and then reconnect and press the two keys for a few seconds, follow instructions.

But now that I have moved to the ROM I downloaded here (see some post before) that is dated on August 2014, I cannot anymore.

Tip: to speed up the consumption of the battery in this mode, I put some scotch tape around the watch to keep the two keys pressed all time ;)

The recovery image is included in that package.

I'm not helping any further, simply because I can't believe you expect me to have "new" firmware, which is no different than the "old" firmware, when I don't even own one.

* I DON'T RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR WATCH, YOUR DAILY LIFE, OR ANYTHING AFFECTED BY THIS METHOD

you can flash unova ironman firmware, nothin need to be changed, rename factory_NONmodified_recovery.img to recovery.img then use this attached scatter and use firmware/upgrade

Use this TWRP Recovery (Credit to kuronosan) to root kitkat using this supersu update, put flashable zip in internal storage

Sorry, I did not see it before. I have tried with the ROM uploaded by Kuronosan, including at the recovery image. Still cannot manage to make it work correctly.
I confirm tha the rom that was packaged by the factory with my watch was newer and different. The main differences I can see are:
- the compilation date of my rom was November, the other is August
- the backup tool has its own icon in the launcher, while in my version there was no APP, and the backup was accessible from the system configuration menu
- there is an icon for the video recorder, in my ROM version there was only camera, with the option to record video or take pictures
- no icon to access to Downloads in my version
- the icon for some of the apps is different
- there was a kind of double side icon or widget to access to one of the apps that works in Chinese only.

With the one of Kuronosan, I have the following problems:
- the GPS is still never locking. It is something strange, I have the impression that the GPS starts working for few seconds and then it gets frozen. If it sees for example 9 satellites during this few seconds, then all GPS apps accessing the location services will see this 9 satellites. The time the GPS works is not enough to have a position lock.
- now the mobile does not work. It does see the mobile networks but does not get connected to any.
- WiFi works and I have not tried the BT.
- I have not managed to make Google Services and Google Play work.

A tip for those having problems with the boot, flash and so on. As you cannot remove the battery because of this Y screws, if the watch is blocked you need to wait for it to run out of batteries. This can take days (more than a week in some cases). The way to drain the battery to 0 is to keep the two pushed the two buttons for long time. I used some scotch around the watch and in few hours it will run out of battery completely.

When the batter is 0 and you connect it to you PC to flash the ROM, there is not enough power in to flash and charge the batteries. The flash process will stop. The best is to first leave it for 5 to 10 min connected to the USB port so the battery will have at least 2 or 3% of charge before you try to flash it. On the other hand, don't let it charge too much in case you need to discharge the battery again.

And pay attention to the magnetic connector. If you connect the USB side to your PC (or an adaptor) and then connect the watch, you make a short-circuit that could damage your USB port (even the main board of your PC). The best is to plug the watch first, and then the USB port.

Can somebody upload a newer ROM?

By the way, it works. I can't believe I never thought of using firmware upgrade in my tests.

Also, you need to include cache and user data in the upgrade or it won't work.

Kuronosan, do you think that the twrp recovery you posted could work also in the zgpax s8?

Callisto 300

It's not a scatter issue, it's a kernel thing.
Hello Kuronosan,
I have a Callisto 300 and would love to upgrade to 4.4 for obvious reasons. Other than sensors are there any other hardware components not working? Callisto 300 advertises both 1900 and 2100 bands. I live in US and use AT&T so 1900 is my 3g. Which Rom do i need to flash and what is the best way to do that? Could you please point me in the right direction?
Thanks a bunch
