Your Favorite Recovery Project - What do you rely on the most for play or in your work?

Hello All

I'm curious to what all Recovery Projects are out there other than the 5 i know of and what you rely on when it comes to your work. Please take the poll if you don't mind and also make a post on why you have chosen the Recovery. If you choose [Other] please let it be known the Recovery you are talking about. I always enjoy researching and testing out new Recovery Projects and using them on projects ! Hopefully this will help people catch wind of what all else is out there and give them some alternatives. =]

oh and as for myself? I rely on TWRP, OrangeFox and PBRP for my projects.

1) TWRP - Team Win Recovery Project - http://www.twrp.me
2) OFRP - Orange Fox Recovery Project - https://orangefox.tech/ | https://sourceforge.net/projects/orangefox/ | https://gitlab.com/OrangeFox/Recovery
3) RWRP - Red Wolf Recovery Project - https://redwolfrecovery.github.io/ | https://github.com/RedWolfRecovery
4) PBRP - Pitch Black Recovery Project - https://pbrp.ml/ | https://github.com/PitchBlackRecoveryProject
5) BRP - Batik Recovery Project - https://sourceforge.net/projects/batik-recovery/ | https://github.com/BatikRecovery
6) SHRP - Skyhawk Recovery Project - https://skyhawkrecovery.github.io/
7) EXT4 Recovery Project - http://4ext.net/
8) Philz Recover Project (deprecated) - https://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2201860
9) CWM Recovery Project (pretty much deprecated as well) - https://xdaforums.com/wiki/ClockworkMod_Recovery
10) Rootz Wiki Recovery (RZR) - http://www.rootzwiki.com

11) Pterodon Recovery - https://github.com/PterodonRecovery - I witnessed this recovery load in less than a second with no lag navigation throughout GUI.. Hope to see more on this coming from the previous Founder of Red Wolf.

[UPDATE] - I am currently working with this team and helping them out with their development! So hopefully things will be sped up a bit in process. Really looking forward to seeing a beautiful fresh recovery in the near future!

I chose TWRP, OFRP, and PBRP. Why?

TWRP = Reliability and Stabiltiy. - One of the oldest besides CWM and support for majority of the known devices out there.
OFRP - Functionality and Reliability - Great options for just about everything. More than any recovery I have seen!
PBRP - Reliability, Stability and Functionality = Has just about everything and hasn't let me down!

I should have added CWM Recovery and Philz Recovery as i still see custom builders out there for these. On MediaTek devices for example.. Here is an excellent custom TWRP builder for MediaTek devices a buddy of mine got me using just recently. - https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-21839.html . The latest version supports signed recoveries and the builder supports Android LP 5.0 up to Oreo-Go 8.1.

Also

MediaTek Philz Auto TWRP Builder - https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-21495.html
Spreadtrum Auto TWRP Builder. - https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-21669.html | https://blog.hovatek.com/spd-auto-twrp-porter-v1-1-beta-nougat-twrp-v3-2-1-dm-verity-checker/

Another Recovery out there not mentioned I just came across is Dark Recovery Project - https://github.com/DarkRecovery | https://sourceforge.net/projects/dark-project/ . Our Team is building this for a device now so I will check it out soon and post my feedback. It is also discontinued like some of the others such as RWRP but nevertheless the code is still there and.. if you build it.. they will come..

OFRP - Looks upgraded and it's faster than others it has add-ons.

You should check out R10. Has a ton of built in options and addons never seen yet in recoveries. It lacks a few Batik has but I have been talking with the OFRP lead coder some on and off giving him some options from Batik and some fresh ideas of mine as well never seen in any recovery and very useful. So I hope to see some of my ideas and more go into the next build. =]

Eventually our team will build a twrp based recovery but if OFRP keeps up their wonderful work there will be no point as they keep improving 10x ever update. Absolutely cannot wait to upgrade our Orbic Wonder OFRP to R10. That will make 6 or 7? recoveries we have done so far for the Orbic Wonder with OFRP, PBRP, and Batik taking the lead so far in reliability and features.

So far I've came across near 15 custom recoveries most all based off of TWRP of course. I'm going to have moderator modify the poll so that reflects all of them and everyone can vote for the new ones. And I will try to get links up to get hub along with team sites excetera.

Keep on voting guys! if you know where recovery is hasn't been mentioned please do let us know! :good:

If any developers out there would like to collaborate with me and my teammates on a custom recovery something really unique unlike any of the rest of what I've mentioned and you have some experience recognized developer or not and or just want to chip in and help as best as you can give me a shout on here through private message or on messenger that I have listed on my account.

Thanks for the list of recoveries and poll.
I don't even know that this many recoveries exist. I personally maintain only TWRP for my Realme C12, since it is simple and does the work that I need.
Thanks @HemanthJabalpuri you're welcome. Yes amazing how many recoveries there are out there. I wish some of the developers would have continued their fine work as I did enjoy a majority of those I have posted more so than just TWRP. I am taking the best from all the recoveries out to create something really unique once our team gets together to do this project. Many thanks to the TWRP gang for starting what led to most of those recoveries.
