Poor experience with glass film

I applied the glass protection of the brands Mocolo and Amfilm on my Pixel 2 XL. And what I realize is that, the black level is decreased somewhat giving way to gray color. These glass films look shiny. I wonder if these films of malleable plastic that needs a liquid to be applied, if it keeps the color faithful to the screen.

The last film I used was this ..

This is the exact reason I don't use glass screen protectors. I'm using (and always have) the plastic film one, currently Gadgetshieldz, and it for me is perfect :)

I have that screen protector saving me from any scratches along with the Supcase case giving me great drop protection.

For me, this is comprehensive protection for my device :)
There is another plastic film option as well. Even though it protects little compared to glass, I prefer plastic because of the faithful color levels. For greater protection only use a case that has larger edges than the screen. I use a Spigen liquid crystal and its edges is above the screen, so I already have a good protection.
