Poor signal on Verizon Note 10+

Yeah, I wonder if it's a software glitch, or if it really is a hardware isssue. Looking at the teardowns of the note 10 and 10 plus I don't see why it would be a hardware issue.
Yeah! I bought it yesterday so I have 14 days to return it to bestbuy. I am gonna try and tough it out for a bit longer but like I said I can't even watch a YouTube video on mobile. I can barely even respond to you on XDA my mobile data is so bad lol!

I thought it was me but I noticed the signal is weaker than the note 9. In a area that I always have 4G, the note 10 had 3G. I hope they update it.

That's odd. I really want to like this phone but my speed is literally less than 1 mbps. That's so bad compared to getting around 10-15 easily with my oneplus 7 pro!

I just tested, I'm at 2-3 bars fluctuating and getting around 70mbps

Dang man. I wish I could say the same. Like i said it's a beautiful phone but if you can't even use the device as an actual phone I am gonna have to take it back.

It dropped a call with my boss the other day and made me look bad. While my other phone has literally never had a dropped call.

Did your speeds increase with changing firmware? My note 10+ gets less than 1mbps where my oneplus 7 pro would easily get 10-15 mbps easily. Super disappointed in this phone so far.
I can't say it did. If anything I had more issues when I went to TMobile firmware both with mobile and wifi. I rolled back to unlocked firmware. Currently I'm not in a place to test since I'm out of the country. My signal in Korea seems to be better than my signal in the states but that's nothing new for TMobile.

Ah I see, thanks for letting me know man. I really appreciate it. Have safe travels!

So I talked to verizon support. They had me reset my network settings Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset Network Settings. They also reset on their end. I will see if the signal gets better and try to update here.

I wonder if you don't get the Main Band(12?) where you are and "maybe" support for the secondary bands has gotten slack. Given I average 50-100mb lte I assume I'm on the main band. I've heard people buying non verizon phones and tablets getting poor network if that edition doesn't support the main band.

What speed do you get with your old phone?

Not sure as I never had problems thus I never needed to check.

Yeah unless youre driving(and even then) that's pretty bad, but what does your old phone get? If you were getting 25+mb on old phone from same location then something is wrong. If you got <10mb down before then you were not well connected to main band and could be some changes in sub band handling.

I thought about getting the one plus 7 pro. Now on verizon

Mine works great and the only downside to this thing is that it is pretty heavy.

If you do get it. Make sure you have at least decent lte speeds/coverage in your area. It won't have any 3g so you will only be living on Verizon lte network. And you also have to get them to enable the cdma-less option on your line.

Why do you say it won't get 3g? I get 3g on my unlocked note 10+ here and there is poor reception areas.

I am talking about the OnePlus 7 pro with Verizon. With the bands that the OnePlus has makes it only work on 4G lte. But I still get better service only having 4g lte with this OnePlus than the note 10+

Me and several others all have super bad reception with the note 10+ and it's a shame. It's a beautiful phone and I paid $1300 with accessories to find out it doesn't even due the basic function a phone is supposed to do. Which is get reception and not drop calls.

More like a $1300 pager

Sorry thought you were talking about note. Yes I read no 3g on o7p and no sd card and of course no pen and a totally crap camera. That's why I decided against it. If I had the problems you're having I'd take it to Verizon store with your old phone and tell them to fix or get on onone with Samsung with you.
