Google Search Broke

Hello everyone! Sadly this is my last effort in this port, but before I do leave I'll leave you with a Windows installer. Check the OP for the download but read this post first.

!!!I suggest you have a way into fastboot/recovery before doing this!!!
Requirements: Just need the adb drivers
Steps:
1. Download and Plug Device In.
2. Open.
3. Click Install Silk Port.
3. Wait for at most 2 minutes. It's a long process and It might take a minute.
4. Your device will reboot and you will have Silk Installed.

Please PM me if you have any errors.

Note: This is a Beta. Just a few things will be added but it safe to use.

This installed perfectly on my Nook Color running Phiremod 7.1 (CM7.1).

Had problems with the first install with FCs on browser (before updated apk's were posted).

With updated version, wasn't able to install, but this windows version worked out perfectly.

Only problem I have now is that when I try to search from the address bar I just get sent to the Google Homepage (all searches start off looking good then suddenly redirect and send me to: www.google.com/webhp?hl=en-US)

When switching default search engine to Bing or Yahoo, everything works fine "(/search?q=" populates correctly).

I really want this to be my default browser, but this little bug is quite annoying. Even checked my hosts files, reinstalled multiple times and not sure why this is happening.

Anyone tried this yet on an auto-nooted NC running 1.4.1? I'm skittish since my last failure with the manual version so I'm hoping someone braver than I tries it first.

I hate to say this, but how does it work. Silk is the Amazon Kindle Internet Browser. If it FCs, then it ain't working!

I'm curious if silk in 6.2.2 has full screen capabillity then can we port over that version and have full screen as well? I tried just replacing the apk with the one from 6.2.2 but it just forced closed. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Silk directions

I tried to follow the directions, but they dont work for me, I am somewhat a noob and I think I am messing something up, I am looking for help. I have the Motorola Electrify (Photon 4G sister or brother) its rooted and I wonder if someone could help me over team viewer or google talk, my phone should work since someone was able to post it over to photon 4G, thank you for your time and help.

Thank you to the original poster for his/her efforts in porting.

I successfully installed the silk browser and amazon video app on my rooted kindle fire running cm7. however, i am unable to get silk in accelerated mode or to be able to watch videos in the video app, even though i am a prime member....it says my device is not configured properly. i also use ota rootkeeper, but it didnt make a difference whether my fire was in rooted or unrooted mode (even after reboots)

has anyone successfully gotten the silk port to work in accelerated mode or for the video app to allow prime members to view videos/tv shows?

if so, would you be kind enough to share how?

Delete it from system/apps with a root explorer or with titanium back-up.

worked on an Evo 3d.

sync would not install and prime videos don't work but that would have just been a bonus anyways.

The browser is great and gonna install it on my transformer next.
