This would be an amazing mod indeed..too bad no one seems to care (as usual i'd say..). I'll try porting it myself, no guarantees though, as unfortunately i'm no developer :(

actualy 3 files need to be modified : framework.jar, framework-res.apk and services.jar

I have already inserted smali code to services.jar. now I'm working on the rest.

Great great great (horray) :) This will be one of those epic mods! Cant wait! Only wondering if it will be possible to apply to all the different sense-roms out there (i'm running rcmix hd)...

Ok i'm getting a ****load of errors when i try to compile the modified framework, and as i'm learning about this stuff as it comes along i am still unsure as to why such errors pop up..i must be missing something since i think they shouldn't :p:p. I wish i knew more about android...and i wish i had more time to learn :p

Sorry the Control works perfect but the pop ups looks crazy. Can anyone port this control widget for HTC Desire?

Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

I've got working version with LeeDroid 2.2f framework. Seems like everything works fine so far.

Flash usual way, do nandroid backup first!

Unfortunately (but as expected) doesn't work with RCMixHD... phone keeps stuck at first bootscreen for ages, so I grabbed my nandbackup... think it is due to the totally different notificationarea with integrated multitasking in the HDRoms... but anyway thanks for your efforts!

    Notification Power Buttons icons

Ok there is new version with transparency support for notify window background.

    available values for widget.txt:
    toggleWimax
    toggleAirplane
    toggleAutoRotate
    toggleBluetooth
    toggleBrightness
    toggleFlashlight
    toggleGPS
    toggleLockScreen
    toggleMobileData
    toggleScreenTimeout
    toggleSleepMode
    toggleSound
    toggleSync
    toggleWifi

EDIT: updated scripts to be flashable in CWM 3.0 and higher
    10
Okay, finally made a working version for 1.72.405.2

All features of previous version are still here (widget.txt, refresh, etc)

    Available widgets (6 max):
    toggleAirplane
    toggleAutoRotate
    toggleBluetooth
    toggleBrightness
    toggleFlashlight
    toggleGPS
    toggleLockScreen
    toggleMobileData
    toggleScreenTimeout
    toggleSleepMode
    toggleSound
    toggleSync
    toggleWifi
    toggleWimax

I added another config file in /system/customize : notification_config.txt (again pipe separated values)

    Available values:
    - enablePowerControl : enable power control widgets in notification bar. If you don't set it, widgets will still be visible but inactive (must replace framework-res.apk too to remove them)
    - enableRecentApps : show latest apps in notification bar
    - enableWimax : I noticed that this mod throws a lot of errors if used on a phone that don't have wimax support, so if you don't use the wimax widget, do not set this one

The default config : enablePowerControl (so, no recent apps, no wimax widget)

Ok now, the important part... I had a lot of trouble to make this mod on 1.72.405.2.
Porting it was quite easy but I got FCs and bootanimation just after the sim/pattern unlock. I'm still not sure why I had so many problems, maybe rom related, data2sd, unionfs
If you can get past sim/pattern unlock without FCs, you are definitively fine.
If you get any issues, please post your logcat

As usual (and now more than ever), backup!! (& wipe dalvik-cache! :D)

For those who may be interested in quick settings for official 3.14, here we go :D (This is not Power Widgets like old time, but Quick Settings like in Sense 2.1 or 3.0)

    I made 3 versions :
    - Quick Settings only
    - Recent Apps only
    - Both quick settings & recent apps

    Settings available :
    - Auto brightness
    - Wi-Fi
    - Bluetooth
    - Wi-Fi Hotspot
    - GPS
    - Mobile Network
    - Auto Rotation
    - All Settings

Just push one of these file with adb and replace the existing SystemUI.apk (located in /system/app/ by default)

As usual, you may lose your themes by using this

Cook with same settings - kitchen had some isues with flashing script.

Sent from my pocket using pen

Great, the second time i cooked the same thing it worked ! Although you said not to make too much changes in the kitchen in combination with this mod I've changed several items and now it looks awesome !

Since there seems to be some confusion of how the procedure power widget mod + kitchen theme works I made notes what i did, hopefully other people can benefit from it:

    Reboot into recovery, make Nandroid.
flash zipfile from post, start phone (note: booting took longer than usual).
That's enough to have the power control mod working. However, when you want to spice your Desire up with themed icons, battery indicators etc. read on !
goto kitchen, choose modifications, in the end do not select Leedroid 2.3 but select framework-res.apk, extracted from previous zipfile, cook.
flash cooked zip, start phone (note: when nothing has changed, just cook same recipe again in kitchen and reflash).
While in recovery, mount system, customize widget.txt for the buttons I want (look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877003 for explantion about how to edit widget.txt) through ADB. Start phone.
The attached image show the results !

    Note:
    - To get the customized text instead of the carrier (screenshot below) do the following during cooking part "Status bar notification": select "carrier"> "color:transparant" and also select "Notify power buttons installed" (ofcourse..).
Under header choose your own customized text, choose font. This text will replace the former carrier text then.
    - This procedure is tested on Leedroid 2.3c, 2.3d and 2.4.

Mendozinas: for your assistance for this mod and ofcourse your exquisite kitchen consider this: PP 48926517UD033791H :D
