INTRODUCE :

Hi folks .. here is a port for Dialer and Contacts apps pulled from Xperia XZ1 System Dump ( Android 8.0 ) , and yes ! Sony has finally decided to change its old ugly in-call UI

WHAT'S NEW ?

• Stock Google In-Call UI with some Sony tweaks
• New Hamburger menu in Contacts app
• Both Phone and Contacts apps now support apps shortcuts

BUGS

• SIM card goes down when pressing on any button during a call ( Check Post #2 for fix ! )

Tested on :

- Xperia Z5 running on official 7.1.1 update with superuser mod

Instructions

- Go to : System / Priv-apps and delete the following folders : Contacts - Dialer

- Download Attachment

- Flash in recovery or extract and install manually .

Have fun and don't forget to press that Thanks button

FAQ

Q : SIM card gets unreadble when touching any buttons IN-CALL UI

A : Install Google phone app from Here and make it the default phone app , it has almost the same UI and you can still use Sony phone app

NOTE : Don't forget to sign the app before installing using zipsigner !

( This a temporary solution until I finish my exams )

Try doing it manually without flashing in twrp :

1 - Delete your current stock Dialer and Contacts folders in system / priv-app

2 - Add them back from my ZIP file

3 - Don't forget also to move somc-ext-telephony.jar to framework folder

4 - And reboot...

If still didn't work perfectly so you will need to deodex your rom

The phone loses waves when it touches the call screen, I use XZ 7.1.1

2 - Add them back from my ZIP file

3 - Don't forget also to move somc-ext-telephony.jar to framework folder

4 - And reboot...

Sorry to hear that :/ if other XZ users confirmed the port is working fine then u should deodex your rom

NO NEED to have it installed on your device to use this port .. but u can use this tool

I used rom odex, and I also tried on deodex rom but still the same result

I have not used logcat ever: D
