It worked on my S8 Plus. Snapdragon model.App froses when enabling 60fps video on s8
Oh, then that could very well be the reason it force closes. I did about a 20 second video with 60 fps enabled and it worked fine.I am on exynos model.
Does it really record 60fps?Oh, then that could very well be the reason it force closes. I did about a 20 second video with 60 fps enabled and it worked fine.

That I don't know. What app can I use to check frame rate?Does it really record 60fps?
Mine still does 30fps video with 60fps enabled.
No force close though.

Ok. I got ultimate video player to play avi files. I'll try it right now.I use MXPlayer -> Play Video First -> Properties on Android.
I think many non-stock video players support something similar.
I just downloaded MX Player and it is only recording around 30 frames per second.I use MXPlayer -> Play Video First -> Properties on Android.

Yeah that'd be nice along with stock camera app. Thanks for the confirmation.
Hope it gets 60fps video recording support on our device too.
Can you post some night pictures? I've tried every app and different settings, my night pictures are bad, it makes the shadows dark green, for me the stock app is better in low light.Since Google designed this app for Nexus and Pixel phones, and neither support external SD cards, it's unlikely the code is in the app to save to external SD cards... I wouldn't count on that ever being possible with the Google Camera.

I A/B'd the stock GS8+ Samsung Camera against the Google Camera on about 20 different scenes (outdoor cloudy days, outdoor sunny days, outdoor at night, indoor in low-light). In just about all cases the Google camera took better pictures for me.
Using v4.4.0.20 from Page 6 of this thread, with the following settings from Page 5 of this thread:
Recommended universal settings for both HDR+ Auto and HDR+ On:
• Camera module config - Pixel 2017 (DR Dogfood)
• Buffers size - 3 (or 15 for better image quality in low light)
• Total imagereader image count - 14
• HDR+ burst frame count - 7
• Calculation algorithm for HDR+ imagereader image count - Pixel, Pixel XL
These work well for me with HDR+ forced on.
