the OC4 modules and RIL zips are not necessary.
I will note that you will need to be on OC4 modem for this rom also.
Actually I will make a firmware upgrade zip as I have before and add it to the OP.

Thanks.
thanks
one question - as you are porting to ATT i337 - can we change CSC code also ? currently Albe's v4.6 ROM has XXV/TGY csc code.

The oc4 firmware will bring the necessary partitions to oc4 and you will still be able to Odin back to whatever you are currently on.

Not really sure what is different, the original ROM works perfectly, sms, mms, everything. Just need to flash RIL zip and the usual stuff and you're set.

The op clearly states there it's nothing different.
The only thing changed is the ril files, apn, and wifi modules.
Some users don't look in the other forums.
If it were any different it would be is own rom and not a port.

I've been running "Kangapop" 5.0.1 ROM on my ATT S4. I still have the "Loki" bootloader. Anyone know if I just ODIN the modem for this port and then flash the firmware via TWRP that this will work okay? Can I still apply the "loki" patch to the kernel and it will work?

I've never "safestrapped" my phone or used fireflash before..

I do not have a device with your setup to test this so I can't tell you if it will or not.
Maybe somebody can help in the original rom thread.

Not getting LTE speeds, maxing out at 5Mbps and I see the little 4G sign but no LTE. Set the APN settings already and tried reflashing the OC4 modem. What do?
Nobody has had any issue like this before so maybe you could ask in the original thread.
The speeds sound like an issue with signal and not the rom.

Your Mileage May Vary....but I was running oc4 modem with GE53 (AEL kernel) and able to flash this as is. I ran a kernel cleaning script - did an advanced wipe in TWRP - and then flashed the rom. It took an extended time to boot but to my surprise I did not have to flash or loki the kernel. I did flash the OC4 ril / modules and had to setup the APN manually.

Not sure whether I should be using the 9505 version or this one--I'm on a bootlocked i337 but have Tmobile service. Now that @mariokiller64 mentions it, I don't think I've seen the LTE icon either. The ROM is otherwise running great. 2 questions:
1) Is there a way to revert to the S5 stock mail app? New one doesn't seem to allow you to batch select emails.
2) More important to me: How about the old battery settings screen? New one doesn't have the detailed history (graph of screen on, wifi, phone signal, awake) that the old one had. Barring that, does anyone know of an app that displays that info v. time? I particularly like to see when the device is awake v. screen on or mobile signal. BBS, GSAM, wakelock detector, none of them have this info...

I am able to get LTE speeds on this Rom. The 4G icon is related to build.prop settings - like ro.product.device which shows zerolte - if you were to change this to jflteatt you will Break features of this Rom but would have the 4G LTE icon. Certain roms are very sensitive to changes to product device, product model, and product name. This is one of them.

Fwiw, got 11Mbps on speedtest just now. 4g icon only. Don't know what my speeds are on other roms.

To get the 4G LTE icon to display (AT&T only) you must complete the following build prop edit:

Change
ro.product.name=zeroltexx
to
ro.product.name=zerolteuc
and change
ro.product.device=zerolte
to
ro.product.device=zerolteatt
save changes and reboot.

I think flashing the OC4 files was a big mistake on my part as can no longer boot to recovery (at&t found unauthorized software). Also, boot screen sits indefinitely (30+ minutes). Probably should added loki-doki in order to resolve boot issue. I'm guessing brain surgery is needed to resolve the soft brick of a gs4 I now have. Any thoughts?
