I think flashing the OC4 files was a big mistake on my part as can no longer boot to recovery (at&t found unauthorized software). Also, boot screen sits indefinitely (30+ minutes). Probably should added loki-doki in order to resolve boot issue. I'm guessing brain surgery is needed to resolve the soft brick of a gs4 I now have. Any thoughts?

Signed: Rookie Miss Take.
You'll probably need to heimdall/odin back to a stock ROM/recovery
Maybe something like this

A lot of people are probably asking what is the use of this port. I too my self was wondering the same thing.
Well the original albeit s6 full port 4.6 is running smooth when flashed on oc3 firmware kernel and modem. I also noticed that the screen is much dimmer
I tried flashing the original albeit s6 full port on top of stock rooted oc4 with kernel and ril.zip and oc4 firmware.zip but when the rom boots the wifi is not working.
i would like to thank the maker of albeit rom and also the porter of the albeit rom. Because when i flashed this on top of oc4 stock rooted with oc4 firmware.zip and oc4 kernel. My wifi is now running. This rom has no issues yet after 2 days of using.
To conclude this rom managed to make albeit s6 rom compatible with our latest att oc4 firmware( stagefright fix). And with updated kernel , this rom made the rom much faster and battery efficient. Have a good day!

First off, for all the people quoting the ENTIRE OP, learn how to quote what you need from the post, NOT THE WHOLE [email protected]#$ing THING.

I'm still on the original MDB bootloader and was wondering if anyone else who flashed this ROM had to (or was able to) flash anything else just to get the ROM to work or to get features to work.

Were you able to flash just the ROM or did you have to flash a kernel or modules, or both, as well to get everything working?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Less is better as I have a soft brick currently. I am guessing you may need to flash loki which is not mentioned in the op thread.

I'm guessing the op is rarely read at all.
It is stated that this is compatible with safestrap and flashfire.
Which is why loki is not mentioned.
If you wish to use it with a device that requires loki then it is up to you too make sure it will work.
Second post also only has install instructions for safestrap and flashfire that should have been your second clue that it may not work for those that need loki.

As I said before I only did this because some users don't check the other forums.
I did the same for us at VZW forum.
If you wish I can arrange to have this thread removed.
Thanks to those that did read and are able to follow instructions.

I'm assuming everyone else using an MDB/MDL device thought the same as me and believes that ROMs that are made to work on SafeStrap or Flashfire will also work on devices that don't need it, as has been my experience in the past. If this ROM is an exception, simply saying so would have been enough to stop us from wasting time on something that won't work no matter what we do.

This ROM worked for me - still running on a vintage S4 - never used flash fire or safe strap...Started with GE53 as the base with loki'd AEL Kernel...
Your Mileage May Vary....but I was running oc4 modem with GE53 (AEL kernel) and able to flash this as is. I ran a kernel cleaning script - did an advanced wipe in TWRP - and then flashed the rom. It took an extended time to boot but to my surprise I did not have to flash or loki the kernel. I did flash the OC4 ril / modules and had to setup the APN manually.

So if I'm understanding you right, flashing this ROM doesn't install a new kernel, whatever kernel you had already stays (on "vintage" ie. MDB/MDL S4s)?

I've never used a kernel cleaning script (that I know of). If I used one, how would I know if it made a difference..and where would I get one? Does each kernel have one, or does one script work on all or most kernels?

Advanced wipe is wiping /cache, /dalvik, /system, and /data right?

Thank you for the help on this

I think what gets installed is a previous version of AEL at least compared to GE53 - official link to the Kernel cleaning script http://www.imperiumrom.com/S4/5.0.1/OTA/kernel/Kernel_Script_Cleaning_by_Slim80_v1.9_LL.zip

Could not get wifi or bluetooth to turn on in the i337m either. Flashing the two other OC4 zips did not help.

Not sure about cellular service as I didn't have a sim card in the phone.

Probably due to an incompatibility between the 337m modem/bootloader and the ROM.

Edit: flashed my i337m to stock OC4 using Odin. Still could not get wifi to turn on.

Anyone else having problems with wlan_ wakes/usage with this ROM? I'm getting wakelocks in the thousands over a few hours...
tried fresh install without success, doesn't seem to matter which wifi network I'm on. Wifi set to always on, no automatic anything. Using amplify/powernap/greenify, my other wakelocks are practically non-existent (but this is the case regardless of whether those services are enabled or not).

You flashed an I-9505 ROM on a Canadian I337 and worked? I'm amazed.

Not gonna try it tho since I have a USA I337 GS4.

Regards.
I doubt it. I have went over this 10 times since they posted this. While the rom installs and works, it will not recognize the Canadian SIM card.
