First off, I want to say that I am fairly new to doing anything past flashing roms and whatnot lol. So don't expect anything close to perfection for the time being. I started this port off as something personal to have and planned to not improve on it, but after a bit of playing around with the settings and whatnot; I plan to further my knowledge of Android, using this as a starting point. Any and all help with bugfixes etc. are much appreciated.

Without further ado... I present my port of Melchizedek for the MyTouch 4g.

The Collective Proudly Presents:
Melchizedek
For Inspire 4G or Desire HD

*DISCLAIMER*
You do this knowing all risks involved with flashing a ROM.
Neither I nor any member of The Collective is responsible for any permanent damage.
This is considered an Alpha release so please treat it like an Alpha and expect bugs and some things not to work properly.

*Read This Entire Post Completely Then Read it Again*

*WARNING*

-Do Not ask for ETA on the next release
-Do Not ask for help if you didn't full wipe before coming from a different rom!
-Do Not Flame other users! Read the Rules
-Enjoy the rom and remember it is ALPHA Quality and sure to contain bugs

All credits goes to twistedumbrella, LorDClockan, dh.harald, existz, CM crew, Evervolv, synergye, AOKP team, flappjaxxx, and all others that have contributed to this extension of our community!

What is it you ask?
-A Serious Work in Progress!
-This is compiled from from source from AospX by existz
-Redemption Tools app with OTA features
-Custom Camera Launcher that launches Angel Camera for stills and VideoCam Illusion for Videos
(You need a player like Rock Player Lite or MXPlayer to Play the Videos)
-OTA updates.
-Andrev OC built in with CPU Tweak for custom Sleep/Wake Profiles
-Custom Preset CPU OC profiles and preset UV settings
-Latest Gapps for ICS and libs
-Apex Launcher
-ES File Manager
-Titanium Backup
-QuickPic
-Palringo chat app - team chat room is: theandroidcollective (black theme by Trevino07)
-Tons of Features in Collective Tools in the Settings Menu
-Ability to download and install Nova Launcher and others along side the default launcher.
-Again Please keep in mind that this is an Alpha Release. It is very stable for every day use but will contain bugs

Melchizedek Q&A

How To:
1. Back Up your Stuff.
2. Wipe Data/ Factory Reset
3. Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache
4. Flash .zip in recovery
5. Allow full first boot, reboot
6. Sign in to Market to add account.
7. Open Redemption Tools from Settings Menu and make it your own.
8. Rate the thread and hit some "Thanks" buttons!

Custom OC Profiles & Undervolt Settings:
Sloth - Sleep = conservative 122/122 + Wake = ondemand 122/921
flappjaxxx - Sleep = conservative 122/122 + Wake = ondemand 122/1152

*Warning* Do be careful with this as using incorrect settings may have ill effects.
Do not use these setting unless you know what you are doing.

Let me know if I forgot anyone!
The XDA community as a whole!
Download Melchizedek for MyTouch 4G

What isn't working...so far..:
- Camcorder [use Abso Camera]
- I'm pretty sure I forgot something...

NOTE: for anyone using a non-standard dpi, there is a modded market (and some other pretty neat things) in the OTA, but you will have to buy paid apps through the browser.

ALSO:included kernel in this build is stock aospX. The custom profiles from tools and the clock steps in cpu tweak will not work. If you are using included kernel, please use AX Control for setting clock speeds and governors. The older Collective CFS kernel posted below works with the Melchizedek tools if you would prefer to use it. The Collective is working on going back to their own custom kernel.

Personal/Additional Thanks and Credits:
- dsixsda for creating a kitchen that Gordon Ramsay approves of.
- Mr. Highway for his extremely helpful guide on porting AOSP.
- rasroygbiv and The Collective for all of their amazing work and giving me permission to use it!
- blackwing182 for the base that made this possible and any further help he has given me.
- Team Royal/Android Insomnia for being amazing and inspiring me to expand my knowledge on Android.
- XDA for being such a helpful community.
- Hope I didn't forget anyone else...

NOTE: If I have forgotten anything, I encourage you to PM me so I may try to fix it ASAP.

Looks like I might need to do another guide our add on to it. I'm really glad to see other people, that aren't devs, use the guide. That's my main thing, to get people developing.

Soon as I'm unthrottled, I'm going to download this an test it. @op If you need help, feel free to ask me.

If I helped, give thanks, if you please.

I WANT ONE :D
I'll flash this later tonight, looks really good bro, ASOP or AKOP?
This should answer your question. ;)

Can't wait to try it out! I'm assuming it will work with the Awesome Kernel correct?
Tested it with the kernel and it seemed to fix wifi and work just as well as The Collective ones did.

No questions! It's against his rules!
Oh right lol. That might have stayed in the quotes. Those are The Collective's rules, not mine. :p

Lol, I wasn't asking, I already know what it is. I was just making fun of the guy that spelled it wrong. I see a lot of people mixing the letters up lately. Haha

I'd love to try this ROM out when I have some time. Is anyone seeing any major (read: crippling or severely limiting) bugs that might make me want to wait?

This sounds great, I was a big fan of the GB collective port. The OP mentions flashing ”one” of the kernels from the collective ota... Any suggestions?

As was I. I always loved the art The Collective added into their roms. As for the kernel, the OTA only contains a BFS and a CFS version of the same kernel. I would suggest you try them both and see which one fits how you use your phone better.

I haven't really tested beyond what I personally use on my phone and a couple of other things, but you can go ahead and try it yourself, just make sure you read the OP about any things that may not work... Other than that, I've been running this rom since I ported it as a DD without a problem.

Hey guys, this is a really noob question but I tried flashing this and I can't get my phone past the splash screen. I have no idea what the issue might be. I did a feel wipe and I tried using the awesome kernel, if that matters. Thank you for any help :)

Bad download? Maybe you tried flashing the kernel incorrectly? I tried the shot of awesomeness v1.5 kernel with this rom earlier and I was able to boot up just fine.
