Thanks this worked I flashed the zip and it didn't work so I opened the zip and installed regular and it worked
Although extremely grateful for your efforts, this did not work for me. Flashed, wiped cache, checked permissions, reinstalled key even, nothing worked. The key does not show up in app drawer after installing from Play. Here you go

Here you can try my new bootloader update files
Copy Both To Device
Flash TWRP_Prepare_For_Dev_Booloader_Update.zip In TWRP Recovery. Reboot phone
As Phone is rebooting watch for Safestrap Splash Screen and enter safestrap
Flash SafeStrap_QA1_Bootloader_Unlock_AIO_V2.zip
When Phone powers off reboot back to TWRP Recovery Wipe and Flash This rom
You flashed this TWRP_Prepare_For_Dev_Booloader_Update.zip and rebooted the phone then was able to enter safestrap correct? Then in Safestrap You flashed SafeStrap_QA1_Bootloader_Unlock_AIO_V2.zip and the phone powered off correct? If so Power off phone reboot to Download mode (Pwr+VolDwn+Home) Use odin uncheck auto reboot in options and flash this Twrp3.0.2.2 then pull battery and reboot to TWRP(Pwr+VolUP+Home)Thanks alot for the help did as you said and I get stuck on boot and aroma doesn't install my phone is Verizon don't know if that matters .I lost my recovery but found another guide of yours and I'm back up and running on q1 .I installed your newest stock Verizon rooted and all is working but still can't flash this ROM .I want to say thanks for all your help and guides .I'll dig more over weekend .screenshot is what I get when I flash this ROM but rooted Verizon runs smooth

There is a way easier root method out if something goes wrong. There is no magical flash that will bring everything back in one simple flashjust want to ask one thing if i update the bootloader from PD1 to QA1 and somehow phone soft brick or i lose recovery which stock firmware i flash to get root and unlock booltloader. PD1 or QA1 ?
i mean if i got bootloop on QA1 bootloader OR unable to get in twrp recovery can i flash PD1 stock firmware again? There is a way easier root method out if something goes wrong. There is no magical flash that will bring everything back in one simple flash
Yes and you will be stock with no root and locked bootloaders againi mean if i got bootloop on QA1 bootloader OR unable to get in twrp recovery can i flash PD1 stock firmware again?
Dev Bootloader Friendly Odin FW:I am certain I missed something stupid...
But it is late and I am going to bed and starting tomorrow.
Okay through the amazing skills of the Devs and jkruse et al I have unlocked my bootloader and escaped the VZW bloat...
so I have CID 15 and did the unlock bootloader.
I was running CM13 - more exactly...
Kernal 3.4.0-g46d41ddKept watching the Phoenix thread for a while and just decided to do it!!
Build: cm_kltevzw-userdebug 6.0.1 MOB30Z…
Android 6.0.1
CyanogenMod 13.0-20161013 snapshot..
BUT - I was on TWRP 3.0.2.2
So here is what I did to start with
Made Nandroid backups in TWRP and moved them to my PC. (Numerous tries and lots of trouble - but I am thinking it is unrelated... just no memory left on my phone)
I odin'd TWRP 3.0
Boot to Twrp
In TWRP Flash EMMC_15_TWRP_Prepare_For_Dev_Booloader_Update.zip
Reboot to Download Mode
In Odin Under AP slot load PB1_Firmware_Only_NK2_Kernel.tar.md5
While in Odin Under PIT I loaded S5_KLTE_USA_VZW.pit
Click Start
Things looked good...
reboot and saw Safestrap Splash Screen and tapped to enter Safestrap
Now this is where it gets fuzzy... because it never really goes to Safestrap. I mean I get the red droid guy and hit recovery but it doesn't really go to SS. I think it went to TWRP.... It might have been TWRP 3.0.0.2....
But I carried on...
In Odin I flashed the two files again.
Reboot
It went to SS and the red droid guy but .... when I pressed recovery - it went to TWRP
I installed SafeStrap_QA1_Bootloader_Unlock_AIO_V2.zip
Phone powered off as expected
Booted to SS and I pressed recovery and got to TWRP
Installed PhoeniX.ROM_V15_G900VZW_V2.zip
rebooted.... boot loop...
Currently when I go to download mode - Current Binary is Samsung Official. But Status is Custom. Reactivation lock is off.
When I try to load anything in TWRP I get
Failed to mount /data (Device or resource busy)
Failed to mount /ss
I followed the brick ideas and wrote the .img to my sd card but that doesn't seem to have done anything.
Now if I try to Odin PB1_Firmware_Only_NK2_Kernel.tar.md5 it just fails. If I try to do it with PIT:S5_KLTE_USA_VZW.pit
It spits this out:
<ID:0/006> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

Okay - I tried restoring my nandroid backup but can't seem to get it from my PC back to my sd card or ??
I really want to get over the hump and get this working.
OHH... One last thing - I am no longer with VZW. I am traveling in central america and using Movistar GSM. Last visit to the US I bought a H2O wireless SIM for $20 for a month.... I don't see a future need for any VZW stuff if it matters in the answer (probably not - but worth mentioning).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Pizza
Dude you are awesome.Dev Bootloader Friendly Odin FW:
G900VVRS2DQB2_G900VVZW2DQB2_G900VVRS2DQB2_HOME_No_ Aboot.tar.md5.zip
Flash Dev Friendly QB2 You Bootloader will still be unlocked once done reflash TWRP recovery reboot to recovery wipe data ,system, cache, dalvik cache. Flash Phoenix Rom And quit restoring backups from different builds If your on MM you can restore Lollipop backup and vice versa. Also Never upgrade firmware from a non TW rom
