You flashed this TWRP_Prepare_For_Dev_Booloader_Update.zip and rebooted the phone then was able to enter safestrap correct? Then in Safestrap You flashed SafeStrap_QA1_Bootloader_Unlock_AIO_V2.zip and the phone powered off correct? If so Power off phone reboot to Download mode (Pwr+VolDwn+Home) Use odin uncheck auto reboot in options and flash this Twrp3.0.2.2 then pull battery and reboot to TWRP(Pwr+VolUP+Home)
and see if aroma installer will now work
ok thanks for the help i did exactly as says above and when aroma about to start the scrolling blue line freezes and. recovery reboots back to main menu of twrp.thanks im sure its something dumb or me but i did do as you said above

Dude you are awesome.
But now I am stuck again.
Downloaded Dev Friendly QB2. Restarted and let it go through first boot to the point where I can choose language.
Then reboot and Odin'd TWRP 3.0.0 and it failed. Tried to Odin 3.0.2-2 and that failed too.

Oh and - now my download page on the S5 says
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status : Official (used to say custom)

But I am betting that is what it should say right now.

Anyway - I hate buggin' ya but just want to make sure I get this right.
Thanks again!

Does it say developer still? If not you relocked your bootloader. In that case follow the new rooting method https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71202995&postcount=3

Dude you are AWESOME. That was just the cure I needed. That went pretty smoothly.

Ok - so I did not flash your VZW_6.0.1_International_Rom_Patch_S7_Ports_V2.zip or FixSideSwipeLauncher.zip Will I need to flash either of those?

Also - I didn't get an option to swap my 32GB SD card for internal memory. Is that something I can or should still try to do?

TWRP 3.0.2-2 didn't see my SD card during flash which was annoying. Thinking that might have something to do with it? Anyway - I used my OTG cable and a thumb drive and TWRP mounted that and all went well.

Let me know what you recommend and thank you thank you thank you again!

You might have to drop back to twerp 3.0.0.0 to fix scarf problem. Never flash a patch on a Rom I posted. It's already patched. If you want sideswipe flash that fix

This ROM is sweet!

But before I get to far along - just thinking about TWRP and adoptive storage.
Wait - does this ROM allow adoptive storage? Or just storage swap?
If I choose to chase this down and start all over - can I save a little reinstall time if I:
  1. Odin TWRP 3.0.0 to my phone
  2. Boot into TWRP and make a backup of my Data only?
  3. Use Titanium backup and make an update.zip?
  4. Then in TWRP - wipe, flash and walk through aroma
  5. Allow phone to reboot fully.
  6. Reboot in TWRP and restore DATA in twrp?
  7. OR
  8. Flash my titanium update.zip in TWRP?
What is the best trick these days to saving some time and is it wise/worth it.

Thanks so much again.

Odin'n TWRP 3.0.0 won't touch your ROM or mess with any of your files.....
You don't want to restore Apps/data from any previous ROM's or OS as you may/will get FCs.....

Ok - thanks for the reminder. But I meant Titanium Backups from my current install of PhoeniX 15. Anyway - I did Titanium Backup of all my apps. Odin'd TWRP 3.0.0-0 and then reinstalled PhoeniX etc. and:

TWRP successfully saw my SD card
During install - I still didn't see any way to swap internal storage with sd card. I didn't see any way to adopt the SD card either. Not deal breakers but something I was looking for. If there is something I missed - any hint is appreciated - especially the adopted storage tweak.

I have restored many of my apps with Titanium Backup. Most have no issues so far. I did not flash an update.zip made by Titanium Backups - just ran the backup after rom install and startup.

Overall SWEET ROM and 1000x karma points to Jkruse for hand holding me through my (stupidity) install.

It says that I am not able to use the app since I am on MM. Plus, I do not have an apn for this service.
You have to go into the settings of the app and disable ics check.

Check your pm, download that file and put it in your sdcard/apn back and restore folder. Not the external sdcard but the internal sd or wherever the backup apn and restore app has created a folder. Let me know if it works.
