[PORT] [STOCK SONY CAMERA] [3.4] for Nougat ROMs

Hi,

I am on AICP Oreo 8.1 on my Z1C.
I tried to flash Cyberian 8 directly and of course I got a stuck in Sony logo.
I tried to copy vendor and etc and paste them with root explorer but it gets an immediately reboot and going in stuck AICP logo...

Could you please help me to get Xperia camera(cyber) working in my Oreo AICP on Z1C?

I dont have z1 but did you try not to install but add cyberian camera magisk modules (modules already created in the thread somewhere) instead?

Just an idra to try maybe.

Hi, thanks a lot for porting the Sony Camera app!

I think i found a not working feature. I installed the camera app at my Sony Z1 compact phone with (unofficial) LingerageOS 14.1. The app works very well. I can choose between saving the pictures on external SD-card or on the internal memory.

But, if i use the feature (and this is important to me) to merge the internal an the sd-card ram, the cam-app cannot save any picture. (The sd-card is formatted as internal memory then)
It says, that it can not save to internal memory. The option to save on the external SD-card also cannot be chosen.

If i deactivate merging sd and internal memory the camera-app is working well again...

Has anyone tried if the camera can write to a unencrypted partition on the SD card while the other partition is in use as adopted (internal) storage?

Confirmed for D6603 latest CARBON OREO

- I can confirmed this mod work on D6603 latest CARBON OREO (Magisk 17.1 installed).
- Installing Cyberian Camera Mod 8.0 without bootloop, however the effects of Cyberian not work but camera still working properly.

Magisk 17.1.
Camera is perfectly working, taking pictures and videos. Didn't try additional features Luke panorama.

Well after flashing cam.zip and reboot I found everythin working. Except of the camera - but this problem is independet of the app or mod, I had this problem already before flashing cam.zip.
Pictures do not work, videos work. Well this mod didn'nt solve my problem.

Anyhow, system was not crashed, therefore I'd say it is compatible to my device:
z1c
aicp 13.1 oreo 8.1
kernel 3.4
magisk 17.1

I didn't have luck with the stock camera, the app crashed, so I tried footej and I could record in 1080p (in stock RR camera I cloud only record at 720p so this gave me hope), but I couldn't take pictures, when I try to take picture it gives me a black picture and I can't take any pictures after that

if anyone can help me with this I would be grateful, this way we can have a better camera again in our z ultra.

Is it possible to name the filenames like in the stock? With recording date and time? At the moment it is. DSC_XXXX.jpg . I need like in the stock DSC_YearMonthDay_Time_XXX.jgp

Hey mate... awesome work. but there are two main issues at least with it on my device. I'm running a Z1 Compact with someone's LineageOS 14.1 (7.1.2, kernel 3.4.113) unofficial rom.

- Video does not work at all. Just crashes and says something else is using the camera. If I use the "4K Video" addon it works, but i don't want to shoot in 4K!!
- If held down for longer than a split second the hardware camera button will relaunch the app midway through saving the image, which causes the image to not be saved.

If you need any more info tell me what you need and how to get it. Also, is there any specific 7.x/8.x ROM that works best/you guys recommend on the Z1c (preferably lineage based)? Cheers
