I have attached a log here if someone can help me check what is causing the camera app to freeze the phone. It's happening quite regularly now with the latest version.

I can confirm this. It seems like the app uses all the cpu. When I press the home button, the phone vibrates 15-20 seconds later but nothing happens.

I updated from v3 to v3.4 but I have freezing preview issue. The camera take pictures but the preview is stuck on the first 1/2 frame or shows the TV noise like effect.

which rom, which cam (op2 or op3)? try a clean install of op2 after rom update or dirty flash existing rom to get rid of camera files. wipe data from app settings. I've got no issues on newest cm13, cpu acts normal like on stock cam..

new 3.5 test zips. most important libs are included in rom now, so zips are smaller. installed OP2 3.5 with gallery on newest cm13, everything seems to work..

don't dirty update as you will keep old libs. dirty flash rom or install after rom update..

Got the flashing error again. Newest twrp and clean flash cm13.Version incl. Gallery.

All is working great at my op2. I have Paranoid Android and flashed the 3.5 zip clean.
How do you port the camera app from oos? Maybe I can help you?

Hey, if I'm using exodus rom and not cm, is it still better to flash the 3.5 and not the 3.4 since the blobs are mostly removed on the latest version?

you can try, don't know if the camera libs are merged already. don't forget a clean flash and let us know

Wipe system once before dirty flashing to remove the OTA survival addon.d script, if you want to be safe and avoid any potential conflicts. Remember to reflash gapps and any other mods though.

@prateeksarna yes. But you can do what i said above to be safe. Will remove all conflicts(if any exist) for you as well.
