for non rooted user only these features will work

it wasn't getting installed. It worked on my rooted tab 2 without any issues. I think unrooted device is the actual culprit.

As mentioned in the thread... The .apk file will work for both rooted as well as non rooted devices.
Rest zip can be flashed via custom recovery (twrp/cwm) for rooted devices

Why does the apk needs permission to read the phone's identity/accounts/sms/email attachments? Sounds fishy

No working with sound attachment. That's running even after closing of walkman. Had to disable it.
