I think the camera is the main goal, I like using miui so if it's possible to just be able to port the camera for use in other ROMs then I think it'd be great. Of course having the complete port would also be nice

The camera is the main goal but honestly it will be the most dificult.
From the chat I had with the Dev's I told them that the camera and the Pixel experience are the most important things , they said that Porting the Camera app all that should be easy but that having the Pixel performance on the Mi5s camera would be dificult but I asked them if they thought they could do it and as everything , they basically said that they could try... they just can't say if they will be able to do it.
And if they could do it I think that would only be possible to do in the Rom that they Build not in MIUI.

Hi there , guys I'm sorry to have taken so much time to answer you, but this is because the Weta Dev stop answering me I don't know why.
I have talked with another Dev's from the Pixel Section and 3 Devs have answered me with a positive atitude saying that they wouldn't mind to try to Make a Pixel rom for our Mi5s.
Are you guys still interested in trying to get Money to buy them a Mi5s and seeing with they can do it?

thats fair , since a lot of us dont move from miui only for the camera performance.

yh I agree, if their rom becomes fully fledged and brings amazing battery life with the camera then i wouldn't mind.
