Possible fix for Jellybean update failed due to intergrity check or other reasons...

I was preparing to root my tablet and it was downloading the firmware. During the root process, it rebooted the tablet 3 times if i remember correctly and my firmware was interrupted. After my tablet was fully rooted, the firmware said it was done downloading, and when I tried to install it, I got a message saying Update failed due to integrity check fail (meaning the firmware file was corrupted and the hash mismatched). So I went and tried to manually update my tablet to jellybean using a different method, but it failed as well. Also my tablet was acting extremely slow after root, both in market and browser. Google wouldn't load when my connection had full bars. Dont know why.

I was told I wouldnt be able to re download the firmware because asus logs you the first time and you cant download the firmware after the first attempt. You have to wait and retrieve the jellybean firmware file from Asus downloads site and manually flash it.

Anyhow, I decided to factory reset my tablet. When I went to sign in and got to the home screen, BINGO firmware downloaded initiated! I am not going to reboot or touch this until the download is complete!

So, backup your files before you factory reset, then sign in, and see if you can re download the firmware. Hopefully others can.

I will post another picture when it successfully updates to Jellybean.

The being unable to download an update after a failed attempt its pretty much a myth, and I'm talking from personal experience. Once it logs the download and fails you have to wait for a bit, maybe a couple of day or maybe 15 mins. Just try refreshing the check for update function every hour or so.

So when does a myth become a reality? I'm speaking from personal experience and its been 3 days...
Good question, I've been waiting patiently since Saturday morning for another attempt at OTA JB upgrade..

myth or reality..

I do have two questions... who released JB.. google or Asus? If Asus released it, wouldn't it be on their website by now?

It won't pop up automatically you need to refresh it by going into settings about tablet check for update. I had to wait like 3 days also after doing a downgrade for my tab to receive the update again. Maybe I am just lucky. Just keep spamming the living hell out of that check foe update button :D

Yea, I don't see why there is a delay putting it up on their site.
