Hello, I was recently thinking about what would be causing the proximity sensor to not work properly when using custom systems (custom ROM). In all telegram communities they tell you that this is normal and that it is very likely to be the fault of a bug in the Xiaomi firmware, the solution that is given for this is to restart until the phone miraculously allows you to use the sensor of proximity again. This hardly works, and even if it comes to work the next restart, it fails again and you must restart another twenty times. xD
So, what I realized is that when we do the bootloader unlock, the system asks you at the first start to put your Xiaomi credentials to unlock the phone, until you do not put your credentials, the phone does not let you use The proximity sensor. I wondered if it was possible that there is a relationship between what I am telling you about and the fault in the custom ROMs, so what I did was block my bootloader, unlock the bootloader, unlock the Xiaomi account from the phone, restore from the factory and check that After rebooting I no longer ask for the account and then install my custom recovery and any ROM. Since then the proximity sensor has never failed me again, I have restarted the phone about seventy times with four different custom ROMs and the sensor is working without any problem.
So, I leave this thread as if it were a possible solution to this problem that is really quite annoying, I hope someone takes the time and can try to see if it works. Thank you all.

Hola, recientemente estuve pensando en qué sería lo que causara que en nuestro teléfono el sensor de proximidad no funcionara adecuadamente cuando se usa sistemas personalizados (custom ROM). Entonces, de lo que yo me di cuenta es que cuando hacemos el desbloqueo de bootloader el sistema te pide en el primer inicio que coloques tus credenciales de Xiaomi para desbloquear el teléfono, hasta que tú no pones tus credenciales, el teléfono no te deja utilizar el sensor de proximidad. Yo me pregunté si era posible que exista una relación entre esto que les cuento y la falla en las custom ROM, entonces lo que hice fue bloquear mi bootloader, desbloquear el bootloader, desligar la cuenta de Xiaomi del teléfono, restaurar de fábrica y comprobar que después de reiniciar ya no pide la cuenta y luego instalar mi custom recovery y cualquier ROM. Desde entonces el sensor de proximidad no me falló nunca más, he reiniciado el teléfono unas setenta veces con cuatro custom ROM distintas y el sensor me está funcionando sin ningún problema.
Entonces, este hilo lo dejo como si fuera una posible solución a este problema que de verdad es bastante fastidioso, ojalá que alguien se dé el tiempo y pueda probar para ver si es que le funciona. Gracias a todos.
