Hi guys,

just my 2 cents. I look at the problem with the bad touch responsive on laying Phones since years. Had this since galaxy nexus. Fine that iam not cracy and more people notice this. I use the h815 with the 10d firmware and also this Problem. Back is the plastic one in normal version and the one from LG with the circle on the front.

Just going to add my 2 cents. Was having the touch issue, driving me nuts. Rooted, added this to build.prop and WOW what a difference. So far so good - very happy! Thanks! On Sprint G4 w/ leather back.

Finally gave these a try and must say it is much better. A lot smoother and it has cut down on the number of accidental taps instead of swipes.

if you read the reviews you will see that it has worked for lots of people with diffrent device, you should try to have open mind and try something before you try to discredit it, if it does not work for you fine but you do not have to be a **** about it ****.
Wasnt being a ****, ****. I was serious in that you should state in a review of the app your experience in using it to solve an issue. It was a positive post by me, you just read it wrong.

? What was your problem exactly?
Edited my post to clarify. Have been having issues myself with double-tap to wake only working half the time, pin/typing mistakes, missed touches, etc. Heard that LG's update to fix the issue had to do with an update to the LG Keyboard, which apparently did have results? I have not wanted to update because I want to stay on the original version in case of a potential bootloader exploit, so I tried to find the updated apk for the keyboard. But then I realized I don't even use the keyboard, I use Swiftkey, so I tried just disabling it and the keyboard's black theme apk. Restarted, and was able to tell the difference immediately. The touch lag is completely gone.

Sorry I failed to explain in my original post. I'm tired and I hit Post too quickly without really thinking about needing to provide actual info lol.

Do you guys know how to disable the lg keyboard. I'm using google keyboard and lg keyboard shows but I can't edit it, it's check marked but unedtiable, grated out. I tried de bloating but not in list. I can stop it in the apps section but can't disable? Any idea why?

You'll need to use Titanium to freeze it.

No problem. I'm very certain that was it, at least for me. 24 hours later and a couple restarts, and the improved touches have persisted, and it's an extremely noticeable improvement after being annoyed by it for 2 months. The "button press" animation on the keyboard/lock screen pin pad, touch vibration, touch sounds, etc no longer feel like I'm trying to type through mud.

Is it possible to do this without root?

I'm on sprint, haven't rooted yet due to lack of a kdz to go back to stock in case I bork root.

You can grab the debloater app from here and use that instead as well. It works for both root and non-root. It's exactly what I did instead of using titanium

My final answer here is its a grounding issue.

If I lay the phone down on my coffee table, i max out at 6 on any multi touch test.

If my wife holds the phone, gripping the back of the phone with the leather cover on, i can sometimes get 8, but moving my fingers causes the screen to bug out.

When I remove the leather back, and my wife holds the phone, gripping the battery, i get 10 touches registered everytime, and can move my fingers about the screen with no issues....

Now to figure a way to rig this......

Extending this out a bit further...I tried placing a folded napkin between the back of the phone and my wife's hand while she was holding it. As long as any part of the phone remained in contact with her hand, touch was unaffected. Once the phone left contact with her hand, touch got wonky again.

It has to be something like that. When my phone is plugged in to the charger I get no miss taps. None. When I use a multi touch app to test how many fingers the screen picks up while plugged in I can get 10 no problem but unplugged if you get to 6 it usually freaks out. Try it now, I use antutu and select screen Test -> multi touch There is something to this.

There was a post at some point about the OPO having a similar problem, where the digitizer was touching metal on metal to the logic board. Seems like a feasible explanation for whats going on here....

The issue with mine is that if I'm not holding the back of the phone, single touches are detected but multiple ones aren't (hence pinch to zoom doesn't work).
So the problem does appear to be a capacitive issue.
