Sorry if my bad English. but here's my situation.
Original I was trying to upgrade from Froyo 2.2.2 on US 4G +Wifi DS7 to Stock HC rom. I have follow the newbie upgrade guide step.
1, downloaded the 4G update package, renamed and placed in SD.
2, Boot to recovery and selected upgrade from SD similar like that.
3, It verified for few mins and give pop a message "FOTA model mismatch"
So, i search the forum and don't seem have answers with FOTA model mismatch. I fastboot flash the recovery to CWM 5.x.x and didn't work. It freeze on recovery mode. Then, i fastboot flash the recovery to CWM v3.x.x and it work. I backup the original stock Froyo with CWM into SD card and wipe and format and do a devik wipe. After that, I was trying to install HoneyStreak R8. Installation complete, and rebooted. During bootup it freeze on Dell logo screen.
So, what else i need to do. Do i miss any step? feel free to post
