Possible to use ROMs/kernels/recoveries from 128 model on 512 one?

I don't have the Note9 nor do I plan to buy it (will get the Note10 instead) but I'm just curious: can ROMs, kernels, recoveries and mods made for the 128GB ROM, 6GB RAM version be used with no issues on the 512GB ROM, 8GB RAM version? From what I know the hardware is the same, except the RAM and the storage chips so there should be no problems? I'm asking 'cuz it'll be the same deal with the Note10 from what it seems.
