This was taken with hdr camera+ in quite low light.
Was comparing different camera apps last night.
Unfortunately the stock camera app either blurred it out, or fired flash and I got a blue white glare.
Stock camera forced hDr no flash (same as the hdr camera+ app)
As I said I think the stock app(appears to be customized Corel suite that several oems use) is the issue with this device.

have you never held anything bigger than 4" in your hand? .
personally I think it's not post-processing the HDR properly, it's just saving the last exposure, (the stock camera takes 3 the same as the hdr+ app) then combines them.
You can see the different ones appear in the thumbnail preview in the stock camera app when you take a hdr photo, the last one is the one that shows up.
Must have a look at the logs, see if there's anything obvious.
There's something wrong with some of your cameras,
