Hey guys I have an international GSII on AT&T and was wondering what is the APN setting that came with your guys' ATT versions. Thanks :). Also, post what modem comes with it!

you can post the info here.

how did you get the phone already?
Sorry, had to get to 10 posts, as the links in the APN settings were giving warnings due to my lack of enough posts.

As for how I got the phone, I work in Finance for AT&T and my office is at a retail store. They got the phone a couple days ago, and I've been playing with it since.

Anyway, here is the stuff....

thanks for this. which one is selected by default? my international version has the "ATT PHONE" APN selected, but I have the option to select the "ATT WAP" if I want. My data speeds are dismal (more dismal than normal ATT) so just wondering if it is my APN

Mine is sat on ATT PHONE by default and I am getting 5down 1up in a "non HSPA+" area (that was HSPA though...they are turning it on and off while testing it.)
thanks for the info. I normally get anywhere between 1.5-2 Mbps down, 1.5Mbps up, but lately it's been around 300 kbps down... quite frustrating. I wasn't sure if it was the ROM I was running (thus an APN issue) or ATT network here in Denver. I'm leaning towards the latter.

edit: oh, and Denver is supposedly a HSPA+ city according to the ATT network map... my speeds shouldn't have gone down when they "increased that backhaul"

I just checked your area and there are a couple of towers having issues right now in Denver, but a simple reboot should through you to a different tower.

The APN settings for AT&T SGS2 will not work on an international SGS2 unless you're on an official 4G plan. If you're on a grandfathered unlimited 3G plan or the data for non-Smart Phones plan you'll lose data connectivity. Also, you can't return to the Cingular 410 default because the network now recognizes the international SGS2 as a 4G phone. If the default's changed, you'll have to build a new APN with the old Cingular 410 settings. If you need them, they're in a thread in the SGS2 forum.

You can call and change from the grandfather 3g unlmited to the 4G plan and not lose the unlimited. You MUST be on the 4g plan to see 4g speeds out of the phone.

I'm on the right plan. they put me on the "4G" unlimited plan when I got my Atrix. Then I just threw my SIM into my SGSII. unless something changed when I SIM swapped from the Atrix to the SGSII

where are these towers at? I have rebooted a few times. I'm in downtown currently but live in the foothills 25 miles west of downtown (evergreen area). both areas are seeing dismal data downloads. thanks for your help!

That's not true. I'm on the data for non-Smart Phones plan and pull 8MB down when I'm traveling in a fake-4G area. I get about 3GB down in non-upgraded markets. That's using the Cingular WAP APN settings.

Nope your wrong. I was changed to a grandfathered unlimited iphone plan to an unlimited 4G plan.
