as far as i know, the name of startup animation of wm6.5 in every custom rom maybe different.in my x1 device i just browse to /windows and find the startup file, it can be gif animation or anything then i replaced it. simple.

Fade-out

Here's mine.

It just fades out the original Sony Ericsson logo and moves on to the Xperia animation. The archive contains the final background image and animation, with its GIMP source file.

hi! i tried in many times to change the start logo, but witout success. can you please help me. i used an cooked rom named: 826x Series ROM.

From my experience...

I've spent 4 hours trying to replace the SEMC1904.gif in the windows file but the animation still doesn't change until I find this BootPackage v1.4 (thanks to Wajk)

After installing the BootPackage cab, it enables HTCanimation and you'll be able to change the animation.gif

I forgot the details of what i went through, but this is fix I found for my problem. Hope it'll help you too.

Hint: possible, if some device haven't got HTCAnimation.dll
if not working standard version:
first install nonHTC(WVGA) version,
and than install your resolution version. (nonHTC version has HTCAnimation.dll and some REG keys.)

Right now i'm using the Window 7 startup animation and my own custom welcomehead. Always love the stock Xperia rainbow theme, and I thought I would apply it to the start up screen.

Found the God damn solution to mayhem that appeared above!
1. Install Total Commander
2. Use it to find SEMC1904.bmp file or SEMC2904.bmp file
3. Replace file

Works on win 6.1
