Download the Themes from XDA, Theme Menu or Play Store (CM 11 compatible themes)
Touch Home Screen than go to themes and then edit theme you are using.
You can change status Bar, Fonts, Icons, Wallpaper Lock Screen Wallpaper, Control Buttons , Ringtone, Boot Animation etc.

It could be changed by applying different themes or different components of diff. themes

i know about the vol. down + pwr button combo. but, can anyone tell me:

1. how to get/add a screenshot tile in quick settings tile layout of cm-11.0?
2. app that lets action to be assigned to gestures or navbar buttons to take screenshot?

for e.g.: on my earlier device, i'd installed nova launcher and gravitybox xposed module. i was using 'double-tap back button' to take screenshots. or, if there's an easier way of taking screenshots, please post about it. thanks.

Search on playstore as cm11 theme or cm12 theme. There are lots of them. Some are paid and some are free. Famous are Flux and Merzee. I particularly like Hexagon for cm12.
