I LOVE this - where did you buy it from?
actually i don't have it. Those are just pictures i came across while searching the web the other day. It looks great doesnt it, there still isnt one available for the DHD unfortunately :(

Is it not difficult to get the phone out of the pouch?
I'll never know since i actually cancelled my order. That pouch was for the HD2 and not the DHD, although i hear it fits the DHD well too.

I bought the official HTC POS 550 pouch from a site named KingOfGadgets based in the UK, on Friday afternoon and had it in my hands, in Northern Ireland, on Saturday morning :)

Fits perfectly, looks nice in reality. The ribbon thing to pull the phone out of the slim pouch works really well too. The inside of the pouch has a smooth and thin felt lining so it is kind to the screen.

Well I got a genuine PO S510 from an eBay seller, listed as being for a Desire HD.

To anyone else thinking of getting one, DON'T. It is too small. I pushed the phone in, it was very tight. After struggling to extract the phone, the SIM cover got ripped off and was left stuck in the bottom of the case.

My old HD2 case is fine, probably because it has a year of use and wear.

Dear Chaps,

I bought the original PO S550 from ebay and it also stated that it is for the Desire HD. When I opened it up and tried to put my DHD in it, I think I almost broke my DHD because I had to push to hard to put it in.
I was already getting mad at the ebay seller because he was selling a badly advertised item that did not fit.

But I still wanted to go on trying and what I did is fiddle with the case for 15min to make the leather nice and soft on the sides. Because it's brand new the leather is still very stiff and it needs to be made soft. Just pushing, squeezing and pressing the case for like 15 minutes made my DHD fit in a lot better. And every day it is starting to fit even better in it.

So to sum it up.

-I received the case, my DHD did not fit at all (the sim cover even got stuck in the case when taking the phone out).
-After making the case soft by squeezing it a lot on the sides the DHD fitted in it but not yet perfectly, I still had to push hard.
-now after 3 days of using the case, it fits my DHD like a tailor made suit!

I also have the original HTC S550 pouch.
One thing bothers me though:
It's advertised as having "access to the headphone socket and power key"

This is not true. The holes on the bottom are on the sides. The headphone socket is in the middle, covered by the black leather strip to keep the phone in the pouch.

I do know the pouch is also designed for the HD7, but it's headphone socket is also in the middle.

Design fail?

Not really a design fail imo. Why would you need to operate the power key when it's in the pouch? The headphone jack you might use so you can reach it when you put your DHD in the right way.

I'm using my green gel case now and I realised it's so much more comfortable typing in landscape mode when you have the gel case on your cell phone. Perfect grip. Without the gel case, the Desire HD feels somewhat uncomfortable in my hands in landscape mode.

Can anyone tell me if the DHD fits on the official pouch, HTC S510, for the HD2 ??!

I'm asking this cause that pouch actually doesn't have a sleeve to take out the phone from the pouch itself like the official pouch from the DHD
