PowerPoint presentation

It's great being able to present on this phone on the big screen. However I have trouble presenting large files (23 MB). The file is made up simply of PNG's for each slide and after about slide 10 the slide doesn't get shown - simply a red cross in a black box in the top-left corner of the screen. It seems as if the app has run out of memory to show the slide, but I still have 56 MB available.

There is nothing wrong with the slide show it plays fine on the PC and also using JetCet Presenter 5 (except this app doesn't display all the transitions, so I don't want to use it if I can get PowerPoint working).

Any help or observations appreciated.

I am now using Jacko S2 (in sig), but was using standard Orange ROM before. All give me the same problem, so I assume it's something to do with Office Mobile. I don't have problems with smaller PPT files (files made up mostly of small pictures and text).

I flashed the same Jackos ROM and tried it with a 21MB PP file. That was the largest one I had. I didn't notice anything unusual in the slideshow. It wasn't png images, though. Mine was mostly .jpgs. I'm not sure if those two differences account for anything, but it worked alright for me. Unfortunately, I haven't got an answer for you here. I didn't have the exact same file as you, so this might not help, but I did not have the same problem with a similar file.

thanks for reply. I will try rebuilding the powerpoint with .jpg files - perhaps that will help. Cheers for your help.
Always happy to help. The only thing I could think of would be that the file is corrupted in some way, but you said it worked fine on the PC. Perhaps the file size is the problem. I doubt that it would be the png files since these are encased in the slide show. I could be wrong, though.

I've got the same problem on my Rhodium -91Mb RAM free. (not enough memory after 10 slides)
But, this problem is exactlythe same on my HTC Universal with only 40Mb of free RAM only.
Maybe a higher compression rate to set when saving jpg???
I'll try and let you know.
