I am using a N7105 Galaxy Note 2.

I was trying to use Odin to flash the above Pre-rooted India ROM to my N7105 but Odin fails and now I am stuck. Tried to flash it again but it still shows "Fail".

Went to Sam.Fimrmware.com to try to download the stock rom for N7105 so that I can try to reflash it, hopefully the "softbrick" will go away. However, seems like all the links using Hotfile is gone right now and I could not download any files from there.

By any change do you have a Original Stock ROM for N7105? Or is the Original Stock ROM for N7100 compatible with my HP?

Would really hope you could help or advise me what I can do to revive my HP.

N7100 is different hardware than N7105 so roms are NOT compatible. You need to download N7105 Rom and try again with odin/heimdall (or kies).

Recipe may be better with YouTube bcoz ingredients are measured in teaspoon and tablespoonful. Here you have to cook rom (not mobile) with digital codes and can be more convenient with text codes for ctr+c and ctr +v for error free job.

Need Help to Create 4.4 Prerooted,Odex,Knox free ROM

Hi,Dr.ketan, Thanks for the guide. Need some tips/help regarding prerooted stock rom.
I am trying to create Stock,Prerooted,ODEX,KNOX free,Bootloader free, Odin flashable ROM. Curently i have philz_touch_6.26.6-n7100.tar recovery, MJ5 Bootloader with custom DR.Ketan v3 rom.

1)Can i repack only system.img and flash using odin?
2)For kitkat 4.4 ROM, can i use the same 2048M size to repack system.img?
3)If i include recovery.img in the package,will it remove the custom recovery? is it necessary to include this while repacking?
4)Don't wan't the latest bootloader,To avoid bootloader,is it enough to remove sboot.bin and tz.img? There is no param.bin file in the stock image.
5)Do i need modem.bin?
6)I thought of packing only boot.img,system.img,cache.img,hidden.img. Is it ok?Do i need recovery.img and modem.bin?
7)Is it ok to flash by selecting PDA tab in Odin after repacking the above files.
8)I dont want to change MJ5 bootloader and Custom recovery.What .img,.bin files i need to remove/include?

9)Is there any way to check my repacked rom will flash correctly?.Any chance to brick my phone?
10)Can i flash using mobile odin to reduce the chance of bricking.

**Regarding Root:
I copied/followed the instruction from UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94 and the first page. Is it enough Dr.Ketan?
--Copied Superuser.apk to /app dir. Changed permission to 0644
--Open /etc ,Create init.d directory, copy 99SuperSUDaemon to it. Set permission 0755
--Open /etc ,Copy .installed_su_daemon, install-recovery.sh to it. Set permission 0644 and 0755
--Open /bin ,create .etc directory set permision 0777, copy SU into it, rename to .su,set permission to 06755
--Open /xbin Copy SU,rename SU to demonsu,set permission 0755
--Open /xbin ,copy SU,set permission 06755
Busybox:
--Open /xbin ,copy busybox, permission 0755

Without recovery probably it will fail but bootloader you can surely exclude.

hi DR_Ketan, I have dwonloaded the pre-rooted stock file and while flashing with Odin 3.04 version it got failed at cache.image... i have tried 3 times and still getting failed.. My phone is stuck at bootlop.. Pl help.. i have been searching this on google but didnt get any help..:crying:

Which ROM you have installed before flashing prerooted? In case it is KK ROM then may failed to flash at sboot.bin

It will fail if you flash prerooted on kk rom.
No needs to root for flashing custom rom, straightway flash cwm /twrp and flash custom rom

I was using Dr.Ketan's v.12.1 ROM, and as I now wanted to leave the Note2 completely stock, I tryed to flash a stock ROM.

I tryed 2 different prerooted ROMs through ODIN and now I always get an 'invalid magic string' error in the phone.

General stuff to try in this case:
1) Stop KIES from running.
2) Change The USB port you're using.
3) Change the USB Cable you're using.
4) Don't use a USB hub, connect directly.
5) Switch off Internet and try.

Report back here if anything worked/did not work.

Hi Doc,

Any chance of downloading pre-rooted stock ROM for N7100XXUFNI1 ?? I am currently running your 12.1 version and Its good for day to day use but somehow It gets restart Randomly and also music sometimes shutters. I am running 320 DPI Mod ( I know I need to report this on Its thread) but thats the reason I want to get to stock pre-rooted ROM !!

Hotfile has ceased all operations a long time ago.

Too bad, cause almost all the Stock ROMS for N7100 are linked to hotfile. ^^
