My wife wanted new phones since our contract was up. As a result I will be selling my Atrix which has CM 10.1 that epinter is working on. As some features do not work with this ROM, is there a suggested best ROM with most or all functions working to install before selling???

It pretty much comes down to the buyer's preference, pretty much the same as it was with user preference for you. Some prefer stock or tweaked/modded stock to use stock features like lapdock, some prefer third party GB based ROM's to be able to use everything reliably, and some are willing to sacrifice certain features to be able to use ICS or JB ROM's.

I've seen pretty often where the seller gives the end user the choice of ROM to be installed, not just for phones, but tablets as well.

I'd say flashing the latest stock ROM is the safest choice. Any buyer that cares about custom ROMs will probably be advanced enough to flash one themselves. Plus, it's so much sweeter when you mod your phone yourself instead of it coming premodded.

OP, did your wife have a rooted Atrix 4G that you sold on ebay a few months back? If so, I'm pretty sure I was the buyer!

Anyway, my Atrix came unlocked and rooted with Neutrino (CM7) flashed. I installed GO Launcher (perhaps negating the quickness Neutrino intended), but I love it.

Best part, I am on T-mobile, so when I got the phone a few months back, it wouldn't work on 4G; but now that T-Mobile has rolled out their new band to attract iPhone users (1900 I believe), I get HSPA+ almost everywhere I go. Of course now, apparently, unlocking a new phone is illegal so all T-mobile's work may have been for naught.

As a total noob when I bought the phone, I was happy to have it pre-rooted and flashed, and Neutrino served quite well - simple, fast but highly customizable. I was terrified of the thought of "bricking" my phone, but I was quite fed up with the Motoblur crap that had seriously bogged down my previous phone (cliq xt, which I rooted myself later on :)).

That might be true for those of us who check xda regularly, but not everyone enjoys the modding process. I would suggest offering a choice between stock or a rom. I have no clue how this will affect the selling price since some people might not care and might just skip over your phone for an easier option.
