You Sir are a legend. I installed your ZIP and I now have root access on Kitkat 4.4.4 with all LTE functions working.

It all looks perfect, I'll give it a few days to test run and report back with the results but for now A+.

Thanks alot

You are welcome.

That link you give indeed lead to my file without asking me anything, without credit to whom made this prerooted firmwares possible and this guy actually have used my download link to my mega account. And seems to me that his blog is full of same kind of behaviour. For example what he write about XZDualrecovery by @Nut. I don´t understand this guy.

Thanks @geko95gek. The link that this guy used ain´t work anymore.

No problem, I thought it was weird to find it on that site. If you want me to delete my post then please let me know.

True that!

Btw your nordic FTF file didint work for me when I was downgrading to 4.4.2. It just kept failing on system, so I had to use the one found here - http://leetbox.net/public.php?servi...e3c1e6d6968f22839&path=/Sony Xperia Tablet Z2

*EDIT* NEVERMIND!!! I got it!!! I'm so used to Samsung devices, that I didn't realize that you DON'T actually attache the Sony device until you're prompted to - AND NOT BEFOREHAND...smh

"I can't seem to flash either of the nordic files to my brand new xperia z2. FlashTool keeps restarting my z2 without flashing and then the log file shows "flash cancelled"

it sits for a long time at "Preparing files for flashing".....then log shows "device dicsonnected" and tablet restarts without flashing. Could this be becasue my device is currently sitting at 23.0.1.A.4.30, and I am trying to downgrade directly to 17.1.2.A.0.314? This is quite puzzling.:("

awesome job!

Glad you made it.

@kulvertti - you have been tremendously helpful throughout this entire thread!! Thanks very much. I have one question - should I be concerned that my device is actually a SGP512 (32G/wifi), but on the tablet the model # reads SGP511?? Is there any way to use root to edit the model number?? Is that even anything to worry about? Everything else works spectacularly!!

Thanks mate. There is nothing to worry about but if it bother you you can edit your build.prop file in system folder. Use file explorer which can write to system or buildprop editor which you can find from playstore.

I've read through this thread and im downloading your Nordic FTF file to downgrade my firmware. I have a question though, does downgrading the firmware delete all my user data?

Even though it says SGP511 you still have 32gb of space right?

Nope. It doesn't. And you have all your memory even it says SGP511.

Ok thanks for that. Im gunna try downgrading it using your FTF and Flashtool, then Root with EasyRoot and get a Recovery working. My daily driver atm is a LG G2 and that has TWRP installed. Is there TWRP available or would u recommend the XZRecovery?
