I have read Amazon, Best Buy and of course carriers like T-Mobile, Verizon, ATT have all been confirmed.

Looks similar to Australia. I really hope that it is not worth more than AUD $850. I can get an S6 for AUD $850 on eBay but it costs AUD $990+ in physical stores.

The price of the G3 has dropped to around AUD $450 which is really, really low for such a good phone.

Be careful with cases

Not all cases are compatible with the leather backed versions of the G4. I purchased one on Ebay then noticed the exact same one on Amazon which stated it wasn't compatible. Upon contacting the Ebay seller they confirmed they'd just found out it wasn't. I ordered a second one on Amazon (different "model") that and the corner cracked.

Using a clear Spigen one I bought on Amazon and that one does work.

So according to this link over at Best Buy for LG G4 preorders, Verizon does NOT appear to have a leather version for sale - at least not through BB.

All are the plastic back and all are showing $610 retail.

The price I expected as it is in line with other leaks. Not seeing leather as an option for Verizon, that shocks me as it does show for ATT and Sprint.

Looks like we might have to buy the leather back of choice at retail then. Which might be good or bad. Good because we can go find a color we might want other than the carrier specific ones, but bad because the leather priced phones were rumored to come with leather AND plastic backs.

The problem with buying a plastic back initially is that the back buttons won't match most of the colored leather backs. It looks like the colored leather backs have cream or silver colored back buttons which are not available on any of the plastic backed phones. I would like to get the brown leather but don't want grey buttons.

On Sprints website you can pre-order the G4 with the black leather back or the metallic grey for the same price, $600USD. I don't know if the price will be different after official release (June 5th)

In that case I'm going to get the leather and buy a plastic back later so it will fit in more cases.

The difference between the two isn't really that much at least for me. I like this approach of LG of making something different happening. I remember when I first saw the back cover of the Galaxy Note 3 and I was really wishing it was genuine based on the texture but was disappointed that it was just "pleather". I've always loved leather cases and G4 leather back is a thumbs up for me even if I have to put in an extra $50.

Some are $600 and $609 so a mere $1 to $10 off your high end $599 goal so you should be buying then no? This is way cheaper than the S6 + $100 gift card at best buy + a free battery, battery charger + 32gb sd card. All of this adds up you a deal way better than you even hoped for.

Price is not as high as I expected. I assume for the 32gb. Just early info for USD. And no idea how different carriers will modify this.

Where did you read this. I would like to know for sure if the leather comes with a plastic version too.

It's heavily priced in UAE.
Pre-order is up for AED2799 (~$763) for leather back and AED2699 ( ~$735) for ceramic back.
Also, no freebies like in other countries. Very bad?

You are quoting old information from old rumors. Google will reveal sources on this from that time, but at this stage, nothing new has been said or confirmed on this and so that might have just been an early on /*wrong*/ rumor.

Check this out.. some interesting info on leather back upgrades on non OEM leather backed phones. It talks about carrier branding on leather, ebay leather backs you can buy, the fit and how feel changes, the button colors, etc.
