Why are they so expensive?
Assassins Creed £5.49 WP7 v 59p iPhone*
Flight Control £2.49 WP7 v 59p iPhone*

I understand that iPhone has a lot of users, but the price has been lower since the start?

I have an Omnia 7 and would like to buy more apps, but I cannot justify the price.
On the one hand I want to buy them, but then surely,if they see people buying at a higher price point they will continue to sell them at that price?
On the other hand, if nobody buys the apps because they are too expensive, developers wont bother with the platform?

*= I appreciate that they may have been more expensive previously, but I cant recall paying over £2.99 for a game on the iPhone.

Anything that is XBOX LIVE will be a min. of $2.99. I know it sucks cause I'm limiting myself to $20/mo. for the phone (incl. ZunePass). And Harvest, Magic Marker, and RockerRiot are all $6.99.

I don't think XBL games will drop below $2.99 though. They're supposed to be the best on the mobile platform.

both those games have been out on the iPhone for almost 2 years
they won't fetch that high price anymore, and Assassins has had a sequel released since then. I don't know if they're much different on WP7, but they are newer. Most of the WP7 market is people who havn't had access to these games before, and so they have a higher value. It's smart on the developers part, although obviously not fair.

Personally, I remember paying $10 for Assassins Creed on my iPhone, back when it first came out
