Hi,I've unlocked the bootloader and instaled Virtuous Prime 9.4.2.14 v2 on it using cwm,but I didn't liked it and then I tried to go back for stock USA firmware using cwm again, the stock us firmware was instaled ...I did wipe cache wipe full data and wipe darvic cache and now my prime didn't boot anymore...just apears the initial Asus scream and the top unrecoverable bootloader error (0x000000000004)
Any idea to recovery my prime?Nothin works and can't enter in cwm mode anymore
My prime returned today from the store and Asus changed his motherboard for free, now I have everytihing working again and the bootloader locked again and I will keep this way this time

How did you go back to the Stock US Firmware? Did you use a nandroid backup of your stock, unlocked bootloader, rooted rom?

I would recommend trying the ADB method described in the development forum for the clockwork recovery mod thread. That is of course if you can even gain access to your device.

I don't understand.......

Are you guys screwing around WITHOUT doing a backup!?!?

You should be doing a full backup the MOMENT cwm is installed.

Sorry to beat you up more than you already are but daaaaaaaamn. If you do even the simplest of flashes MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A RECENT NANDROID

Once again i really feel your pain....im sure someone will something out.

Lol, even 1000 backups don't help if your bootloader is broken ;-) which is the case here :)

So basically how are you suppost to reinstall the stock asus firmware file from the website then if you want to go back to 100% stock (minus being able to relock the bootloader...)????

I guess a nandroid is the only way, besides someone putting together a flashable zip for the stock firmware (which I could try to do tomorrow if no one beats me to it).

So....

Restoring a rooted stock = good

Flashing a stock ota = bad

This needs a sticky cuz digging thru threads just plain sucks

Nice, mine is bricked too :(

What do we learn from this?

DO NOT APPLY STOCK BLOBS AFTER UNLOCKING!!!

And what else?

WE WANT FREAKING NVFLASH ACCESS, ASUS!!!
Nooooo...damn! Your device still bricked or did you figure a way out of it. Damn, feel bad for you n OP. Hopefully you all figure a way out of this jam. Wasn't even really your fault. Bootloader should've let you been able to flash back to stock rom of needed. That's on them. Then with the warranty voided b.s. your situation really sux. Good luck. I had a feeling since first day of unlock tool we would see bricked primes. They are starting to pop up more often now.

Hopefully y'all get device back working right sooner than later. This info needs to be spread on what happened before everyone who unlocks brick their prime trying to go back to stock setup.
