I have been looking for a low profile cover/case/stand and decided to take a chance on this one: search ebay.co.uk for 'tab 8.9 prism'.
On first inspection I wasn't impressed and disliked the nasty white stitching visible through the black nappa leather. However, after a few small mods it has now become a permanent fixture on my Tab.
Draw a black sharpie/marker over the white stitching - call me OCD but I think it is a massive improvement!
Remove the velcro pads from inside - they are unneccesary and make the case bulge.
Make sure the elastic strap is on the outside otherwise it interferes with the case when in ' prism stand' mode.
See photo for unofficial typing mode (oops, can't post links yet!)
It's not the best fit or best looking case in out there, but after a few minor modifications I would consider it a keeper and recommend it to others in the market for this kind of case.
