Hey all

My setup: twrp, magisk, lineageos 16,

I see that Google installed its Bluetooth contact tracing app or system or whatever it is called on my op5 without my consent.

Other than completely removing Google services from my device, is there a way to remove that contact tracing component from my op5?

When I disable Bluetooth in the settings, does it completely disable it, or does Google or any other applications have a way to bypass the disable and keep using it?

Does this disabling of other sensors (WiFi network gps) apply as well, can be bypassed by Google or other applications?

Regards

Google doesn't need your consent, because it is not your device. It theirs, if you have Gapps installed. And yes, Google is able to manipulate gps/bluetooth/wifi also without your 'consent'. It is simple: no Gapps, you control the device; yes Gapps, Google controls it.

If you mean the COVID Bluetooth tracing, that is only active if your country's government is cooperating with Apple+Google for this. You'd need to install your government's app to activate that feature, otherwise it is disabled.

That is not true. If that would be true, Google would be dead by EU laws already.

It is true. EU privacy laws don't deal with the way Google manages your device, only with consent regarding user data.

If you have Google Services, Google is the administrator of your device: it can delete/install anything it wants to without your consent, which by the way, you have already provided by installing Google Services.
