If I use the molded force roam prl, is there a way to check how much data I use on Verizon? Also, what's the difference between a corporate and standard prl?
Not from verizon directly but just look at your roaming data charges on ur billing statement and that will tell u how much data ur pulling from VZW

if i put the corporate prl on my phone, is there something i need to watch out for so i dont get in trouble with sprint?
Corporate PRL allows for Verizon 3G roaming, but it's not going to constantly roam. It'll roam on 3G instead of 2G when you do roam.

P.S. If you're in an area that's constantly roaming then yeah, you'll use a lot more roaming data than usual.

I've used the anycut method and has the same issue, it's probably me, I'll try to be quick and try to get that method to work once I'm done downloading this jellybean leak from Myn and Clark, thanks...

So then from what I understand we only hop on Verizon network when actually roaming? And using their prl let's us use 3G vs 1X. If this is correct is there a way for me to force roaming to stay on?

Sorry, I must've missed this previously...correct, we only hop on Verizon network when roaming, but if you're using the 00001.prl, it won't show you as roaming on your phone, but both Sprint and Verizon will know you're roaming. What I mean is the icon for roaming (little triangle) doesn't pop up. Using the 00001.prl is basically like having a Verizon account...you're on VZW network 100% of the time, their 3G speeds, their spectrums (better building penetration), etc. 100% of the minutes and data you use will show up as roaming on your bill and if you abuse it, you'll be dropped. I loathe the people who do this intentionally to get out of an ETF, but that's my opinion. You signed a contract and had 14 days to test it out....but that's not what this post is for.

Using the corporate PRL (24006 I think) enables 3G roaming speeds, where as using a 'standard' PRL (25006) only has 1x roaming speeds.

As of right now, there is no way to force roaming on this phone. I'm sure it'll be figured out, but some of the best devs are having some problems finding exactly what it is. The only way to 'force roam' is basically to put the 00001.prl on your phone using the described methods above. Anycut is a GREAT tool for this.

Do we actually type ##data# in to the dialer? or is it ##3282#? Because I can't seem to get it to put letters on there, but ##3282# doesn't even work ;o. I'm on the noWizAospMod rom (it is a tw rom I think).
You spell out data with numbers, you can't actually get letters in there. So you're right, it's technically ##3282#. If it's not working, then that apk (I think it was called HiddenMenu.apk in the OG Epic, not sure about the GSIII) isn't present and that command won't work. Get to an actual TW ROM and you'll jump right into it.

My assumption would be if you can't get there through the dialer, using the Anycut shortcut won't work either.

I haven't done it, but I'm pretty sure if you're rooted then Roam Control works for forcing into roam. I don't think it's in the play market any longer but still updated and available via the developer's website to sideload.

You don't even need the MSL to change the prl for the GSIII- just copy the prl you want directly into the main /sd directory, no subfolder, rename it '' test.prl ''.
Then do ##data#
Tap on view (not edit)
Then choose '' overwrite prl''

The phone should reset itself, but be aware it doesn't always want to take the overwrite and you may have to repeat the process. If you're having trouble search on here as there are some things to try to get it to overwrite if it's being stubborn.

Yeah my problem was that I normally run aosp roms so I tried to find the TW ROM with the smallest size, which turned out to be the NoWizAOSPMod ROM but apparently the dialer had been switched so I was confused. I switched to freegs3 and it worked.

In terms of the 24006 prl, how do you know when you're roaming? Because in some of the hallways in my school, I am now getting 1 bar 3G whereas I was getting 1x or roaming on 25005. Will it have a different symbol or look different or something?

Roam Control doesn't work for this phone. I tried it and the symbol said I was roaming, but no go, it doesn't work.

There should be a little triangle symbol when you're roaming, but I don't know about the normal PRLs as I don't have a use for them. I'm around Chicago and Sprint doesn't have a roaming agreement with VZW here, so you can't roam around here unless it's with the VZW only PRL like 00001.prl :(

What are the consequences of using a corprate prl ? And can I use the internet as much as I want as long as I'm not roaming right? Is there anything I need to know about or be carefull about using it?

No consequences. I know on the OG Epic, if you were using a PRL that didn't match your profile with Sprint, they'd roll you back, usually within three days. I don't know if that's the case with the SGSIII, but I would assume so.

The only way I know around it, is to freeze your System Update process.

Yes, you can use the web and as much data as you want, so long as you're not roaming. That's the biggest benefit of Sprint as long as you have decent enough 3G speeds to make you not want to run headfirst into a wall...

Whats the difference between the 3 Verizon files? Do you delete the original prl file after making the copy and renaming it test? Thanks
3 Verizon files? The only one I know of that will put you on VZW 100% of the time is the 00001.prl. All the others will keep you on Sprint unless you're actually roaming. 00001.prl will literally put you on VZWs network every second you have your phone on. Make sense?

I would copy whatever PRL you want to use, paste it in the root of your internal SD card and rename it to TEST.prl. Follow the provided steps to run it.

You can tether all you want, but use discretion. Don't abuse it as you're not paying for tethering, so you're basically stealing a service from Sprint. Yes, they can tell when you're tethering vs when you're using data on your phone's browser.

I would keep your roaming data under 100MB to be safe, but you can do whatever you want.

I asked because of this quote "PRL 00001, 00002 01337 are modded PRLs that force 3g roaming on Verizon
