Problem: Mia1 stuck in bootloop with locked bootloader.
So far tried:
1) Tried to go in fastboot mode to flash twrp etc but can’t due to the bootloader being locked.
2) Tried in edl mode but the device reboot after I enter the command to go in edl mode.
3) Tried in stock recovery to flash via sd card, either the rom/ota update is old or it cannot verify the image.
4) My pc does not detect the phone when it is in adb mode.
So far what seems to work the best according to YT, would be to boot in EDL mode and flash via mi flash, but as I said the phone reboots after I enter the edl command.

Any sort of help is appreciated, thank you.

I tried to go back to the stock rom after trying out aosp, thats when i got the boot loop. Here are the results for getvar all command:

Thank you, i don't aim to displease you though, but i quite don't have the tools to open the device and i am quite scared that the metal of the plucker might short circuit something as well. I gave a shot to booting into edl mode from fastboot mode without prying open the device but the device reboots and goes into bootloop the moment i press enter after entering the edl command . Booting into edl would definitely solve this issue. Could you please suggest me some other method of booting into edl?

I had the exact same problem. This was the only working method because of locked bootloader :/

Try use a EDL USB cable

You can build it from a standard USB cable, search on Google
