+1Maybe it wasn't formatted? Try to format it in the device and report back here.
SETTINGS>>GENERAL>>STORAGE>>FORMAT SD CARD
OK, some SD cards are fake and may not work correctly. Depends a lot as to where you bought it. Did you purchase this card from a known good dealer? Have you tried to see if a PC can read the card? When you formatted the card in your 12.2 tablet, did you see the message something to the effect that you would loose all of your data?I did format but still no luck

If you don't have a PC then try to locate a friend that has one and let them try to read it. If that doesn't work, contact the place that you purchased it from. They may replace the card for you. But beware of fake cards.
Here's a link that explains fake SD cards and how to find out if yours is a fake:

I just did a google search for your problem and one guy had to reformat to a Fat32 format in order for his 64GB card to work. His card was formatted Exfat and that would not work.
One last thing to check: When you went to the format page in your tablet, did you see a 'Mount SD card' just above the 'Format SD card? IF so, mount it. If it won't mount then the card has a problem. Also when removing any SD card from the tablet you should 'Unmount SD card' first.
