Hi every body
I flashed sultan kernel on viper and elegancia rom after flashing and setting up those roms

Unfortunatly, in both roms, after flashing kernel and rebooting roms, the roms will be rebooted several times
What is the problem?
Did I do wrong work?
or any thing else

Thank u for helping

Are you flashing the kernel DIRECTLY after flashing the rom? Because i had the same issue and what works best for me was to wipe all format except sd then install rom then let it boot up and reboot the device atleast 2 - 3 times BEFORE flashing the kernel. And also before flashing the kernel do wipe cache + delvik

That should / might fix the reboot loop problem

Yes, I once heard directly from Sulatn that his kernel causes bootloops if flashed before first boot of the ROM. :)

That pretty "Thanks" button's waiting for U, in case I helped :p

Looks nice then, flash 4ext recovery if you haven't done yet, then format everything except sd card (an option in wipe section) then flash the ROM you want, then let it boot up. Afterall, again boot into recovery and flash Sultan kernel and reboot and see.

I am having the same problem.
I freshly flashed ViperS 1.6.3 with bricked kernel "default". Setup 'ed, rebooted several times, works fine. Then flashed sultan r17.5. First boot works like charm, everything smooth and fast and then after second reboot starts to reboot randomly:(... Any Idea

For the info: MY Device is S-on and I do enable 4ext smartflash before flashing.

You might have been using a strange troublemaker MOD? Format everything except SD card (4ext's advanced optiobs item), flash the ROM with smartflash enabled (in case you are not s-off) and reboot; don't install any MOD, then after the 1st boot, when you made sure that it works flawlessly, boot into recovery and flash Sultan's r18b3 kernel (for example). And then reboot in order to see if it works or does not.
good work. :good:
