Hello everyone, I explain my problem: it's about a month that my XT910 suddenly starts to crash randomly in two different ways (black screen with soft touch buttons lit but does not wake up, or the screen stays on , everything works except the touch, the physical buttons and soft touch) .. I noticed that this problem does not do it if the phone and 'charging at the same time ... this problem, it has risen another: if you attack my XT910 to a computer in any mode (from the three offered by Android, from apfastboot and bootmenumanager, but this gives me error if I mount the memory in your computer) is not recognized, but only load ... I hope you can help me :)! At the moment I get on the bass muscle z2 and the kernel slope of April 19, 2013 (I already tried to change rom to restore and do everything possible was done to my knowledge, I think haha) .. ps: installing the miui and I 'appeared (during the lockout) that I wrote something like' the process system has stopped working (sorry for my english, but being Italian, even though I speak English was too long to manually translate hahaha :))

Motorolla RAZR xt910s Boot Problem

Dear All,
I bought Motorolla RAZR xt910s a week ago. I tried installing Cyanogenmod 11 KitKat after rooting and installing CWM Recovery. Rom was successfully installed but the installation of G apps failed so i rebooted it.Now it shows the Motorolla logo screen and then goes black. Also i can enter the recovery menu by 3 key combination. i tried wiping data to factory settings and clearing cache but in vain. Today i tried flashing (using RSD Lite 5.6.4) a stock rom of ICS(4.0.4) and then JB (4.1.2) downloaded from a website but it shows error ''failed 6/12 flashing cdt.bin flash failed..............etc''

Please help on urgent basis...
Waiting to hear from you people soon...

Standard advice after everything else fails is to flash firmware with RSD Lite. However you can't flash ICS firmware if you have already updated to JB, you need to flash JB firmware otherwise it fails. Flashing with RSD Lite will erase your internal memory, so make backups.

What OS is installed on your PC? In case you have Win7 x64 you should install a specific MotoHelper Driver version for 64bit Windows! Then it should recognize your device in fastboot. Note that it needs to install the drivers on first plug after installed MotoHelper.

Next thing is: Use Safestrap 3.65 instead of BMM as this is updated and has many bugfixes compared to BMM.

When you flash JB via RSD (which is very recommended!) then please backup your SD-Cards before, because the fastboot package is a FULL FLASH PACKAGE which will WIPE your internal storage (NOT the external). Also data, etc will be wiped, so you could use TiBu to backup apps & data.

DON'T DISABLE WIPEING OF INTERNAL STORAGE! Let it wipe everything to get a clean setup! That's important to track down the issue!

After flashed the fastboot package, use chinese root manager (thread in dev section: "another way to root xt910") as this is the most easiest one-click-method rooting JB.
then install Safestrap 3.65 and let it install recovery.
Now reboot recovery and flash any rom (& Gapps or whatever is needed!)

If you still get these issues your board/chipset might be damaged and needs to be changed by a new one. This can only be done by repair service - or by yourself if you're able to order these parts somewhere and isnert it by yourself (needs some special tools therefore).

Good luck!

first of all, thanks for your long and detailed answer and for accepting (immediately) my request for help. Second, I have windows 8.1 pre-installed (I have a asus t100ta, and x86). A few days ago I removed the latest version of motorola device manager and motohelper (and MotoCast) with Revo Uninstaller in Advanced mode, because a my friend(who develops rom for the XT910) recommended me a specific version of motorola device manager : the 2.3.9 ... maybe the problem is that I had installed the drivers before motohelper (since you say you install them after motohelper, if I understand correctly)? If yes, now I should uninstall the driver (motorola device manager), install motohelper and then the drivers (the latest version I suppose)? Sorry the repetitions :p

edit: i add that now i have the erase CID
edit2: i've installed motohelper and motorola device manager (in order)...nothing, the device isn't recognized
