Profile App Advice

Ok, I am looking for a profile app that gives a specific feature, if I can take you back to the days of the nokia 6600:

you had your contacts and you add your contacts to groups- VIPs, friends etc. Then when you did your profile you could set alert for all calls or just from a specific group e.g. VIPs. So when my drunken friends decide to ring me at stupid o clock my phone does not ring but if someone on my VIP list rings me at stupid o clock it would ring. Does this make sense?

So I am looking for an app that will let me do this, there must be something like this, anyone got any suggestions?

This has to be possible as the alarm still sounds when the phone is on silent and contacts can be organised into groups.

Price is reasonable and as far as I can see (haven't tested the actual profile) you can make a rule and choose ie. VIP or group of contacts (Coworkers, Family, etc.).
In addition you can make profiles for car, meeting, night, or whatever you want.

yep i also recommend this one, its a bit complicated and has lots n lots features, but if you need them then this app is for you, if you want a simple loud, normal, quiet, night profiles download a free app called simply profiles, very nice and easy to use app

Just wanted to thank yous for your help on this Setting Profiles provides the functionality I need although it doesn't quite work properly. However, I have managed to find similar apps that I am in the process of testing.
