I don't encourage to dirty flash but I did it from version 3 and all seem great for me. Love the rom. Im a Gear VR user and I added the files needed for that and all ok.
That would be awesome! ThanksI made a nandroid backup. Installed stock MM. Installed Titanium Backup and backed Ger VR Service, Gear VR Shell, Gear VR Setup Wizard, Gear VR System, Gear VR setup WizardStub.. Restored the Nandroid and restored those files to Project L. Let me see if can upload those files for you to restore with titanium. When restoring some of these system files Titanium hangs. After a forced reboot the restore is sucessfull and can continue restoring the others. Im gonna try to post the files here
I tried to flash V5, followed steps, but I got "Symlink: some symlinks failed. Updater process ended with Error: 7". Anyone know how to fix this? Using twrp 188.8.131.52, on latest bootloader/modem for N910W8.
Edit: User error, I forgot I had mount partition readonly turn on.
Try these if works in Titanium Backup. Also I edit build.prop device to SM-G930T. Make sure you have com.facebook.system and Facebook App Manager and they are enabled.
testing now. weird thing is i actually got it to work a different way...similar to yours, however what i did was use a backup of setupwizard and launched it via the quickshortcutmaker app which prompted the download of all the files I needed. plugging in the gear vr was recognized and everything booted but I got a strange visual glitch where the left eye was all distorted covered in big black and white blocks intermittently. anyway...this was further than I had ever gotten on any note 7 rom.
will report back on if your method worked shortly...
The distortion resolves after change build.prop device to SM-G930T and reboot
1) Can anyone provide details on how to install Magisk on here (is Magisk even compatible with this ROM)?
2) Can anyone provide details on how to install Xposed on here (is Xposed even compatible with this ROM)?
same result after redoing it. the calibration is not right for me at the moment. still looks semi crossed eyed. what ppi are you running your rom at? the stock 560?

just confirmed that setting back to 560 ppi doesn't change how it looks in the gear vr. the spread or something must be off. I tried changing model to 920t, started getting glitches again. I'm gonna switch back to TWIZ'd for now...as it was working perfectly in that rom. Hope someone finds a universal solution for getting the gear VR to work on Note 7 Roms! Thanks again for sharing
