Thanks I might try it out. I have just starting using https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=1013103&st=720#entry104036503 and it's been working fine so far, so I'll stick with it for now.Hi I had the same problem with x96 max + A100, the way I found to make it work is to do a backup of Vendor from original firmware with TWRP then after installing slimbox 12 i went back in TWRP and restored Vendor. After reboot, whit all aps you will have DroidTV Settings, then go in Display and clic on Adaptive HDR and disable it to turn it off. Here is the TWRP I used. You will have some apps from original firmware that will install when restoring Vendor but you can uninstall them after if you want

If you don't use bluetooth, install the original Slimbox version (2 GB or 4 GB) and it will be fine.I just flashed Slimbox V12.7 Pie to my x96 Max Plus A100 version and everything working well apart from CEC (not so much of an issue for me) but the biggest issue is i cannot turn HDR off, does anyone know how to disable it?

Hi in slimbox you just need to go in the box settings then go in slimBOXtv settings then go in Extra settings then go in System (Languages,time,backup...) then go in Languages & input then go in Physical keyboard Then clic on the first one on top 2.4G receiver default then clic on Set Up Keyboard Layouts (in blue) then choose the languages you want to use with keyboard.Hi, just installed Slimbox TV to my Sunnzo S9 Max. I have also i8 mini keyboard.
The problem is that whatever I do, the external keyboard outputs russian characters. I tried "everything", but always russian. Even the virtual keyboard is english.
Due diligenceIf you have a high quality T.V.:
* Capable of 600 -- 2000 nits (more is better).
* Dynamic tone-mapping
* Inky blacks supported by superior locl dimming.
HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ Dolby Vision(work in progress) can be amazing .
Peak brightness is probably one of the most important aspects of HDR. If a TV has llittle (100-400 nits) HDR peak brightness, it won't display all the highlights of the content.
High contrast ratio and a local dimming feature is important for a good HDR experience; the TV can display bright and dark highlights without loss of details.
xx My current (and previous T.V.) does Dolby Dark(...Dolby Murky) with muddy grey blacks. 4K Bluray was miserable to view !.
Due diligence: Check for your T.V.'s implementation of Dolby Vision (work in progress - dark and broken even on High end T.V.'s .) Being replaced by Dolby (Luminace?)?
UnPack Superceleron's firmware, taking bootloader files(with Explorer file manager):
DDR.USB, UBOOT.USB, bootloader.PARTITION
Unpack Level 1, Sbx firmware and paste/overwrite these bootloader files with your file manager.
Rebuild and burn your modified Firmware.
try selecting leanback keyboard in settings - might work . did for me when I found the AOSP wouldnt popup when I selected to type on search on a few of my X96X10 boxes with a Q5 air gyro mouse with latest slim version AOSP firmware. No idea why not as was fine when I first installed rom. Other same boxes still fine. on default AOSP keyboardAnyone know why the keyboard on Air Mouse isn't working? I have one of those generic 2.4G USB Air Mouse Remote Control that has a keyboard on the back, and this is the first ROM where it isn't registering any key. The Back button also only works when the mouse is activated. Using Slimbox 54 MOD version for Beelink GT King Pro.
The Air Mouse keyboard works fine on stock Ugoos AM6B+ firmware and on Slimbox 9 H96 Pro+, hence my question.
cat /dev/block/boot > /sdcard/boot.img
3. Extract boot.img from stock firmware
You need to have a stock rom for your device.
Ideally a zipped rom, so that you can extract the "boot.img" out of it.
In case you have an img-file, than you need to extract "boot.img" out of it via Amlogic toolkit:
GitHub - natinusala/linux-amlogic-toolkit: Allows to unpack and repack AMLogic images for Android 7 without the Customization Tool
Allows to unpack and repack AMLogic images for...github.com
By this you can extract the stock boot.img from the stock firmware.
