I have 4 x HK1 RBOX X4 (HK1/VONTAR differ only in name). All run great with the Vontar X4 slimbox 16.9 aosp rom. Never had a problem getting connected with a Dual USB cable to the USB 2 port to flash with Burning tool 3.1 . Only thing I found was that once flashed and booted I needed to open Magisk app and then reboot before root activates. At the end of the day most X4 boxes are pretty similar except maybe for 1GB /100MB ethernet ports. You get what you pay for lol

What version of HK1 Rbox x4 do you have? 32/64/128GB ROM? And is there any HK1 that's not 1GB LAN? I'm saying this because i've bought HK1 before (S905x3) and i got a damn 100M ethernet :x

I'm just asking if there are 100M boxes playing around claiming 1GB lan, i'm not very lucky and i always end up getting 100M no matter what i pay...

That said the Tanix X4 has an X4S version too for which there is a slimbox 16.9 version for 100Mb which probably will work on The HK1 X4S. I like 1GB lan as I have a sportsbar - need best rom and speed I can get

Ok, but what's the difference between S905x3 and s905x4. Can you tell any real difference in the main use of this boxes? I can only see 100MHZ improvement and AV1.

Like why buy latest phone - they all make phone calls. Latest models tend to get latest android version and continued development of software. X4 android 11 v X3 Android 9- slightly faster CPU on X4 boots quicker etc. Upto you - they both run what I want to do but as there isnt much price difference I now get the X4 rather than X3,

Maybe Tanix x4?? I'm reading reviews here and there about the design and thermals.

I was considering the Tanix X4 as well before buying the Vontar X4. The problem with the Tanix box is that the LAN is only 100M not 1000M. Some people might not care about that, but I do.

That only matters if you stream 4K Bluray rips which can be 50 - 60 GB in size.

I meant the Transpeed not the Tanix has X4/X4s - 1Gb/100MB versions of slim rom. Looks exactlty same as Vontar/HK1 - propably is.

Android 11 has problems with permissions, you probably need to install a file explorer and give write permissions and root permissions or just activate root, it should do the trick after a reboot...

I've done it with X-Plore and I rooted, nothing happens for now apart from android 11.

Use a mouse, it works 10x better away.

On the official webpage i can see that there's ugslimtv version for the X96 Air P2, but not for P3.

And it's clear that ugslimtv is also available for X96 Max Plus2, which seems to have the same RTL8211F Gigabit Ethernet chip and RTL8822CS dual band WIFI/BT chip, just like in X96 Air P3.

So, i guess it may be possible to develop ugslimtv for the X96 Air P3 as well. Since it is stated that ugslimtv has some more advantages, i would prefer to install it for my X96 Air P3 4/32GB and 4/64GB S905X3 tv boxes:

• ugslimtv (ugsbx_) - Ugoos firmware stock has been upgraded for the console.
  Has advantages:

• faster loading and response,
• working video scaling,
• turning on the set-top box with any IR remote control (item in the settings).
• remembering the state of the power when it is turned off.

My friend you can use the Ugslim from x96 max plus 2 revision for the x96air revision P3. Wifi chip , DDR Version are exactly the same. I use Slimbox port Ugoos from 0.42 and above and I have no problems with it. Now I have 0.53.1 Ugslim on my x96air P3.

then.... i've got a MECOOL BB2 2-16 wiht latest version 15.4.1
I remember that with the stock version of firmware i could control the TVBox with the TV remote control, any chance to do the same with this custom rom?
Another question.
Every day the Box turn on on it's own, i shut down it then for some hours or the morning after i find it on with the blue light ON and turning on TV i find the BOX awake.
Someone notice a problem like mine?

Differences
ugslimtv, slimBOXtv, minislimtv.

There are no noticeable differences!
In terms of functions, settings, interface, everything, if possible, is brought to uniformity and similarity.
There may be minor nuances on your specific TVbox model. It is impossible to describe them.
Go down the list, start with the first one. If something doesn't work, try the next one.

1. ugslimtv (ugsbx_) - The Ugoos firmware stock has been upgraded for the console.

2. slimBOXtv (sbx_) - The drain of the set-top box is pumped as in Ugoos firmware.
3. minislimtv (minisbx_) - The drain of the set-top box is pumped like in the Ugoos attachments, but everything is like "superfluous" to hell with it. For weak boxes, ascetics, performance and low heat fans.
